Chapter 109 Sweet Dreams
Compared to the harmony between Natalie and Irwin, things were tense on Cedric’s side in the office.
He exuded an icy aura, and many executives were severely scolded during the meeting.
When he exited the conference room, Yuvan was waiting outside.
“Have you investigated the situation?” Cedric asked sharply without waiting for Yuvan to report.
Cedric walked ahead with his Yuvan glanced nervously at Cedric, and a chill ran down his spine. As Cedric walked ahead with imposing figure, he suddenly stopped and turned with a sharp gaze.
Yuvan hesitated momentarily before answering. “Regarding last night, it seems that it was indeed
Stephen who got involved. We’re looking to investigate the matter thoroughly now.”
“Investigate the matter?” Cedric furrowed his brow.
“Yes, it was a request from his side. They want a clear understanding of the situation.”
Cedric sneered.
Stephen wanted the matter looked into?!
Hah… Interesting!
“If that’s the case, make sure to investigate thoroughly.”
“Yes, sir!”
Of course, an investigation was necessary.
Since Stephen had such confidence in Natalie, let him clearly see what kind of person she was and her true colors!
Cedric wanted to see if Stephen would still protect her in the same way when he discovered the darkness within her.
“As for Ms. Morgan… What should we do now?” Yuvan gathered his courage and asked.

Natalie returned to her studio, and everyone who saw her greeted her respectfully.

Natalie walked into her office. The designs for Premier Garden had been approved, but the bidding was in three days, and she needed to prepare.
In the meantime, she received a call from Yvonne conveying Caleb’s intentions. Natalie accepted each one and made the necessary modifications.
For Irwin’s designs, she decided to handle them personally. As for the project with Caleb, she would delegate the work to a team if they passed the bidding in three days.

Natalie looked up to see Cedric standing at the entrance of her office, a cold expression on his face.
She rubbed her temples, already feeling a headache building at the thought of the upcoming confrontation.

Watching the few designers working diligently, it was evident how occupied her studio was.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Natalie’s eyes sharpened as Cedric remained silent.
Cedric chuckled, his laughter carrying a hint of sarcasm. “I never thought you’d rise so swiftly!”
The entire Verde City believed that Natalie was nothing without him. Some even though she wouldn’t be
able to land a job washing dishes at a restaurant.
They believed Natalie had been pampered and sheltered by Cedric’s affection and could not stand on her

After all, she was just like any other ordinary housewife. She had never known financial independence
since marrying him. Cedric had always be
supporting her high monthly expenses.
Of course, Cedric had never mistreated her.
In fact, he had turned her into a high–maintenance housewife that was elegant and noble.
But who would have guessed that after leaving him, she would thrive so quickly? Her career took off at such a high pace, and no one knew what the future would be like.
Natalie replied, “Did you come here just to say that? It’s meaningless to do so.”
She didn’t look at Cedric. Talking to him now seemed pointless.
Undoubtedly, Cedric wasn’t accustomed to her absence. It wasn’t just Cedric; the entire Johnson family was unaccustomed to it. Rebecca wasn’t accustomed, and neither was Christina.
Everyone continued treating her the way they did, as always. But in reality, she and Cedric were divorced.
She was the one who initiated it!
Now, the entire Johnson family no longer had the right to treat her that way.
Unfortunately, those people failed to understand the current situation,
“Heh, then who is meaningful to you?” Cedric questioned.
After ten years together, did she now find their relationship meaningless? In that case, who was meaningful to her?
“Is it Stephen? Or perhaps Irwin?”
“Everyone is meaningful to me except you!” Natalie retorted.
Cedric fell silent, and dangerous vibes emanated from his eyes. The temperature around him dropped drastically at her words.
She now had the ability to make him tremble in anger with just her words!
Just as Cedric was about to say something, Karina interrupted, “Ms. Walker, Mr. Lawson will arrive in ten
minutes.”
Was it a new collaboration?
Natalie nodded. “Alright. You may leave for now.”
“Yes, ma’am!” Karina nodded and left.
After so many encounters between Natalie and the Johnson family, Karina had grown confident in
Natalie’s ability to handle things well.
After Karina left, Natalie faced the intense man and said, “Do you want these big shots to see what kind
of demeanor Mr. Johnson, who dominates the entire Verde City, possesses?”
Cedric’s already unpleasant expression worsened at her words, his anger churning inside him.
Natalie met his burning gaze, and Cedric said sarcastically, “With what you’ve done, you can still sleep in
peace at night, huh?”
“I sleep like a log,” Natalie replied.
Cedric clenched his fists, his knuckles audibly cracking.
Natalie stood tall, exuding an arrogant, domineering air that seemed incompatible with her petite stature.
In the end, Cedric stormed off.
Coming out of Natalie’s office, she received a call from the hospital.
Isabella’s surgery was imminent, and Cedric had already contacted experts from both domestic and International sources.
However, such resources were scarce.
Clearly, Isabella’s path to regaining her sight was a distant one.
After Cedric left, Natalie received a call from Isabella, who was undoubtedly aware that Natalie hadn’t
been imprisoned the previous night.
In the call, Natalie could hear the deep resentment in Isabella’s voice.
“I truly underestimated you,” Isabella said.
“Disappointed? Feel free to use any means against me,” Natalie responded.
In contrast to Isabella’s frustration, Natalie stood as a victor on her end.
She had infuriated the other party to an extreme point and felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
In pursuit of her eyes, Cedric had caved and signed the divorce agreement.
With the marriage dissolved, the assets that were owed to Natalie were also transferred to Natalie’s
name
This was a slap that resounded loudly on Cedric’s face.
“Go ahead and revel in your triumph for now!” Isabella said angrily.
Natalie retorted, “Of course I will! Didn’t you want me to witness how Cedric would personally send me to prison? You won’t see that happen, but you–I’ll personally escort you to prison!”
