Chapter 136 The Taste of Disaster 

Isabella struggled to see what was in front of her. 

However, despite Cedric waving his hand in front of her eyes, she couldn’t even see a hint of a shadow. 

Only boundless darkness enveloped the entire hospital room. 

The atmosphere in the room became tense! 

“Doctor!” Cedric roared in anger.

Dr. Landry had broken out in a cold sweat. He trembled as he approached, “Ms. Morgan, can you see 

anything?” 

His voice quivered slightly. In fact, everyone present already understood Isabella’s current situation. 

Isabella’s heart was in her throat. 

Waving her hand in front of her eyes, Isabella could only see darkness–nothing but darkness! 

At that moment, her world collapsed completely.

“Dr. Landry?” Cedric’s gaze pierced through, chilling everyone who looked at him.

“What happened?!” 

Didn’t he say the surgery was successful?! 

Dr. Landry stammered, “T–this…” 

Dr. Landry didn’t know what to say either. 

The surgery was clearly a success, but now…! 

Veins bulged on Cedric’s forehead.

The atmosphere in the hospital room became ice–cold. All eyes were on Isabella, so no one noticed the 

exchanged glances between Christina and one of the nurses. 

Christina was standing at the back, and she had a smug look in her eyes, which went unnoticed. 

Isabella had lost in this aspect.

“You poor child,” she said, stepping forward and embracing Isabella. 

“Aunt, will I never see again?” 

What kind of concept was that? Forever–what kind of despairing outcome was that? 

Rebecca looked at Cedric, and Cedric looked at Dr. Landry. The pressure Dr. Landry felt at that moment was unimaginable. 

In the end, he nodded! 

At that moment, the already tense atmosphere in the room turned even colder as the reality of Isabella’s blindness settled in. 

“Bella.” 

At the moment Rebecca saw Dr. Landry nod, she wanted to say something to Isabella. However, her lips moved, and nothing came out.

While Isabella was shrouded in despair at the hospital, Natalie was busy. Another morning of meetings had occupied her, and she didn’t even have time to see Stephen off. 

Stephen had told her not to bother with these empty gestures of sending him off. They didn’t need such things. 

Just then, her phone vibrated. 

Natalie checked the number to find it was Irwin calling. Thinking about their evening plans, she felt a bit uneasy. 

No matter how personal Irwin’s questions had been before this, Natalie still treated him just as a business partner. But Natalie felt uneasy when her uncle suddenly broke through that barrier last night, hoping for at closer relationship

Jarvis said you’ll accompany me to the concert tonight?”
