Chapter 81 Divorce Might Not Be the Best Option 

Cedric was growing increasingly disappointed as he looked at his mother. 

She had once been a kind and caring person! 

When he was young, she used to take him to the orphanage to help other children. She had adopted 

Christina, whom she treated like a biological daughter all these years! 

“Why have you become like this?” Cedric eventually said in a tone filled with disappointment. 

His shift from anger to speaking in such a disappointed tone left Rebecca stunned. 

Anger had clouded her judgment. At that moment, she suddenly returned to her senses and realized what she had said in her anger. 

She closed her eyes and shoved away the rage in her heart. 

As expected, people shouldn’t give in to anger. When they did, they would become strangers to themselves. 

She took a deep breath and said, “Ced, I understand her situation, but you can’t do this. Do you understand?” 

What would he do? 

Would he care for her for a lifetime?! 

Having a disabled daughter–in–law in the Johnson family was something she couldn’t handle. 

Cedric remained silent and stared at Rebecca.

“Isabella appeared at your grandmother’s birthday banquet last night. I don’t know what you’re thinking, but the rumors are spreading like wild fire. They’re speculating who’s really our family’s daughter–in–law and how all of them are worse than the other!” 

Cedric remained silent. 

“Your grandmother still hasn’t eaten yet, Rebecca said in a tone filled with melancholy.

They seized Cedric and used him as a bargaining chip to pressure his father to relinquish the inheritance 

rights. 

Thankfully, it ended without any serious harm. 

However, Rebecca also vividly remembered that Cedric had come close to death during that time, and a 

young boy saved him. 

Later, they had wanted to express their gratitude to the boy’s family and offer compensation, but Cedric 

revealed that the child was an orphan. 

Now, Cedric told Rebecca, “Isabella is Ivan’s younger sister!” 

Rebecca’s mind went blank, and she was in shock.

process his words. She was in disbelief as she stared at Cedric,

Rebecca asked, “But didn’t you say he was just an orphan back then? 

“He has a sister, but her whereabouts were unknown. I’ve been searching for her all these years!”

“How’s the progress of your divorce with him?” Irwin asked casually, making Natalie choke on her red 

wine before she could swallow it. 

She hadn’t expected Irwin to ask such an insensitive question. 

It concerned someone else’s privacy; he shouldn’t have been interested in it. Besides, he was usually a very serious person, and asking a question like that out of the blue made Natalie think that he wasn’t as rigorous as he appeared.
