She stood at the doorway, her gaze fell upon the photo held by her son. The mother and son shared a deep connection. At this moment, Lisa knew exactly what was going through his mind. 

She turned to the servant who had followed her and said, “Henrietta, 

wait outside.” 

Sensing the tense atmosphere, Henrietta hastily retreated and closed 

the door behind her. 

Lisa, sitting down gracefully on the couch, studied her son. Coming from an aristocratic family, she had experienced her husband’s betrayal and infidelity at a young age, leaving her heart cold. 

In the dim light, her face carried a hint of harshness. She looked at her son and said, “I heard from that Zoe went to a bar, got into a fight with you, and ended up in the hospital. Mason, she is the lady of the Lockwood Group. What kind of behavior is this? I cannot tolerate it.”

Mason pursed his lips tightly, fixing his gaze on his mother. Watching her unrepentant demeanor, he asked coldly, “No matter how bad she is, wasn’t it you who personally arranged for her to be by my side? Just because I wanted to marry Lilith, you orchestrated Zoe to become my wife. What did she do wrong? Is this all because she happened to like me?”
