Chapter 101 Her Pregnancy Is Exposed
“What could I possibly hide from you?” Claudia took a step back. “Edmond, don’t be so presumptuous. We have already divorced, I just don’t want to get too close to you and attract gossip.”
“Idle talk?” Edmond’s pitch-black pupils were filled with suppressed anger. “Why weren’t you afraid of causing idle talk when you made me wear a cuc kold’s hat?”
“Why aren’t you afraid of them gossiping about you when you have dinner alone with Pedro and Horace?” He smirked sinisterly, a surge of bloodlust in his eyes. “I see that you’re not afraid of the gossip, but rather afraid of me influencing your interactions with other men, right?”
Claudia frowned.
How did he know so clearly that she had dinner with someone else?
Claudia suddenly remembered the time when she was having dinner with those people, and Edmond unexpectedly appeared. She slowly widened her eyes and said, “Edmond, were you spying on me?”
Those accidents, those coincidences
If she hadn’t been monitored, she wouldn’t have believed it.
“Mr. Lamont, I hope you understand one thing,” she slowly brushed her hand over her belly, taking a deep breath, “We have already divorced.”
“You could get married to someone else, and I could also date someone else. Our marriage is free, and we have long been unrelated.”
Unrelated…
Edmond’s impeccably handsome face suddenly appeared sickly pale in
the sunset.
Claudia turned around and said, “Just now, thank you, but I won’t go to the hospital.”
She took a few steps to the side, but found that the ankle of her other foot couldn’t move at all, let alone bear any weight.
At this rate, she was afraid she would have to spend the night here.
She looked at Edmond helplessly and said, “Forget it, let’s go to the hospital, just not Watkins Memorial Hospital.”
and There are her pregnancy records at Watkins Memorial Hospital, there is a chance of exposure if she happens to run into the familiar chief doctor.
Edmond wanted to leave, but when he saw her helplessly doing the “Golden Rooster Stands on One Leg,” he felt both annoyed and amused.
He still didn’t want to see her, and the situation became even more serious. He supported her and took a few steps, finally lifting her up in his arms.
Claudia was stunned and immediately started pushing and shoving, saying, “Just support me.”
“You walked too slowly, I don’t like wasting time,” the man said in a cold tone, his face sharp and devoid of any expression.
Claudia simply remained silent, being under the eaves, she had to lower her head.
She tightly pursed her lips, afraid to look at him. Due to nervousness, her body became increasingly stiff.
Edmond glanced at her with his head lowered, as if he was looking at a prey he had just captured. The little person in his arms had rosy cheeks, exuding a charming and radiant beauty.
His eyes deepened, and he slowly averted his gaze.
Finally, he took his car and went to a small clinic.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Edmond carried her off the car and just entered the door.
The doctor in the clinic looked up and smiled, “Mr. Lamont, what a rare visitor!”
Immediately, his gaze fell upon Claudia, and he smiled even more meaningfully.
Surprisingly, Claudia found herself sitting on a chair, feeling
somewhat at a loss, as she realized that Edmond was an acquaintance.
Edmond sat down next to her and said, “Her foot is broken, let’s see if we can put it back in place.”
The doctor examined her foot and said seriously, “It was dislocated, fortunately, no bones were injured.”
“Endure it for a moment,” he glanced at Claudia, who nodded. Before she could even ask, a sudden, excruciating pain shot through her foot.
“Ah!” The excruciating pain spread from the ankle to the whole body.
A hand reached out from the side and held her hand.
I don’t know how long had pa**ed.
“Alright,” the doctor smiled at her, “Let’s move and see.”
She gathered up the courage to move her ankle, although it hurt a little, it was no longer the same pain as before. She stood up and was able to take a few steps.
She had heard before that some skilled bone masters could realign dislocated bones, but she didn’t expect it to be true.
“Thank you.” Lately, there have been a lot of things happening, and if there was a crutch behind me, it would be perfect.
Seeing that she could walk, Edmond’s complexion improved slightly. He glanced at the red marks on his wrist from her grip and pursed his lips.
“Go and pay at the back.” The doctor pointed to the payment window behind Edmond. Claudia was just about to go, but Edmond had already beaten her to it.
“I had never seen him care about a girl so much before,” the doctor glanced at Edmond, feeling somewhat nostalgic.
Just now, while he was setting the bone, he happened to glance at Edmond. He was surprised to see how nervous he looked, even more nervous than the person involved.
Upon hearing the doctor’s words, Claudia smiled lightly and chose not to speak her inner thoughts.
If he saw Rosalie, he would know who the woman Edmond cared about the most.
In her opinion, everyone was less important than Rosalie.
After paying for the medicine, Claudia had just taken a few steps when Edmond picked her up again.
Claudia was surprised and nervous, “My foot has already healed, I can walk on my own.”
Edmond remained unfazed, “I haven’t fully recovered yet, so it’s best to avoid using my feet too much these days.”
Claudia looked at the doctor, who glanced at the cold-faced Edmond, and quickly said, “Yes, yes, he’s right. You should walk less lately.”
Claudia had no choice but to keep her mouth shut.
Edmond carried her and walked toward the parked car. The car door opened, and Rosalie’s familiar face came into view.
When Claudia saw Rosalie, her pupils contracted and she felt a chill run through her body.
Rosalie indeed found a way out.
“Edmond…” Rosalie looked at them with a sense of grievance, her eyes swollen and red as if she had just cried, a pitiful look that begged for sympathy.
Edmond placed Claudia on the seat and looked at the a**istant, asking, “What’s going on?”
The a**istant smiled bitterly and said, “Ms. Clayton said she has been wanting to see you. I told her you were busy, but she insisted on waiting for you in the car.”
Claudia suddenly remembered that Edmond was engaged to Rosalie, and she felt like an intruder.
Rosalie didn’t look at Claudia, biting her delicate lip, her wet eyes gazing at Edmond. “I didn’t intentionally follow you, I just wanted to know about Abel…”
“He was at his mom’s, you can go find her.” Edmond interrupted her.
He didn’t want to discuss Abel in front of Claudia.
However, Rosalie seemed to deliberately pretend not to understand his words, with her innocent and naive eyes and a smile on her face, she said to him, “Edmond, can I have a few words with Ms. Lloyd?”
Edmond remained silent and simply glanced at Claudia.
Claudia sneered and remained silent, “Speak in court if you have something to say.”
After saying that, she was about to leave. However, Rosalie didn’t want to see her go like that. Thinking about the news Elva had told her, she couldn’t wait for a moment.
“Ms. Lloyd was not curious about why I had to talk to you privately?” Rosalie glanced at her stomach, seemingly indifferent.
Claudia frowned.
Did Rosalie know about her pregnancy?
She is not the same as before now. There is a little life in her belly, and she has to be cautious in dealing with such a malicious woman like Rosalie.
She thought for a moment and then turned to Edmond, saying, “I’ll just have a few words with Ms. Clayton.”
This clearly pushed him away.
Edmond’s deep eyes considered Claudia’s injured foot. He glanced at his a**istant and asked him to leave with him.
As she watched the two of them walk away, Rosalie unabashedly
looked at her belly and said, “He should only be a few weeks old, less than ten weeks.”
Claudia furrowed her brow and tightly clenched her fingers.
Did she know?
