Chapter 105 Not Enough
Seeing Edmond, Claudia frowned and her heart tightened slightly.
She lowered her gaze, her eyes pitch black, and a self-mocking smile played at the corner of her lips.
I didn’t know how long he had been here and how long he had been listening.
Edmond walked over expressionlessly, while Claudia stood still in her place, not moving a single step.
As he pa**ed by her, he paused for a moment and quickly continued
walking forward.
Cicely pushed Abel toward him and said, “Let your dad hold you.”
Not wanting to see this scene of a loving father and filial son anymore, Claudia turned around and walked away, not even feeling the pain in her feet.
Edmond stood, his gaze fixed tightly on Claudia’s retreating figure.
Cicely glanced at Edmond and said lightly, “Since things have turned out this way, it’s better to restore Abel’s identity sooner.”
She looked at her son, a hint of guilt crossing her eyes. “I used to really like Claudia too, but I didn’t expect her to be pregnant with someone else’s child. It means that you and her weren’t meant to be. Now she belongs to the Friedan family, and our family background has become complicated. Abel will eventually have to acknowledge his true heritage. It’s up to you to handle this matter.”
She sighed softly. Claudia hadn’t expected to be pregnant with someone else’s child. She had already been recognized by the Friedan family, and the possibility of remarriage was very slim. Now that she was carrying someone else’s child, it was unlikely that she would turn back.
After hearing her words, Edmond’s pupils became terrifyingly deep, making it difficult for people to discern his thoughts.
The next morning, as the sun had just risen, Cameron stood in a small alley in the Southern District, pacing back and forth in front of the Hunt family’s door.
The doorbell rang again and again, not knowing how many times it had been pressed. Spencer finally yawned and walked out from inside.
“Who is so shameless? It’s early in the morning, don’t they let people sleep!” Spencer lazily opened the door and saw Cameron with a black face. He took a step back in guilt, but quickly remembered that he had already divorced Yvette.
Divorced, still afraid of this former father-in-law?
“Hey, it’s Cameron, what are you doing here?” Spencer looked at Yvette’s father, with no trace of politeness in his words.
Under Spencer’s gaze, Cameron took out a black bag from his own pocket and handed it to him, saying, “There are ten thousand dollars inside. Consider it as the penalty for breaking the contract you and Yvette signed today. We won’t exchange the house.”
Spencer didn’t answer and looked at him carelessly, “Yvette sent you? Did she change her mind?”
“No, she didn’t know I came,” Cameron said with a gloomy face. “She took my ten thousand dollars, and you guys didn’t lose anything
either.”
Seeing Spencer being idle and careless, Cameron was filled with disdain.
If it weren’t for the fear of them causing trouble for Yvette, he wouldn’t want to spend a penny.
Spencer looked at the thick stack of money in his hand and raised an eyebrow, smiling.
He was indeed a little moved.
This is ten thousand dollars, he doesn’t lack a house now, what he lacks the most is money.
Especially since the money was like picking it up for free, it was fake for him not to be tempted.
But as much as his heart was moved, he was even more afraid of Lila. If he took this money, Lila might just kill him.
“Cameron, this amount of money is not enough to pay the penalty. It is clearly stated in the contract that the penalty is ten times the value of your house.”
As soon as Spencer finished speaking, Cameron’s face completely fell.
What does this mean, are you complaining about the lack of money?
“Don’t think that I didn’t know that you and Yvette’s friends teamed up to deceive her. If you don’t want money, don’t blame me for not giving you any favors. Do you believe that I will call the police?”
“Call the police?” Spencer laughed. He had been worried about any hidden agenda behind the house exchange, but hearing him say that actually dispelled any doubts.
It seems that Yvette’s friend was really tricking her, and Yvette herself
was indeed out of her mind to agree to such a thing.
This further strengthened his determination to change houses.
“Cameron, if you want to call the police, go ahead. Do you think I’m afraid?” Spencer smirked ominously. “We are just following the contract, even if you sue us, it won’t work. I advise you to go back early, or don’t blame me for kicking you out.”
Spencer started walking back, but Cameron, realizing that the matter was not resolved, quickly stopped him and said, “As long as I’m here, you guys won’t be able to switch houses!”
Impatiently, Spencer pushed him away and Cameron sat on the ground, with money falling to the floor.
Spencer picked up the money and shook it in front of him, saying, “I’ll take the money, and I’ll think about what you said.”
Cameron quickly stood up and picked up the stick next to him, then swung it toward him…
Not far away, Everett was riding a motorcycle toward here.
He came to Southern District for business, and the navigation led him here, just in time to see Spencer vigorously hitting an old man in his fifties or sixties with a stick.
Seeing Spencer, Everett squinted his eyes.
He recognized this person even when he turned into ashes. He was Yvette’s ex-husband. When Yvette got married, he thoroughly studied Spencer from head to toe. He was shorter, poorer, and even uglier than him.
Unfortunately, Yvette chose to marry someone like this.
And Spencer, who is now an old man with no strength, is despised and scorned by Everett.
Is this the person Yvette chose?
He sneered and h onked the horn, “beep beep” twice. Spencer stopped what he was doing and glanced at him.
When Spencer saw the motorcycle, his eyes lit up.
As a man, few people do not like motorcycles, especially such cool and flashy luxury cars, which look expensive at first glance.
Everett walked toward him while taking off his helmet. As Spencer was stunned, Everett lifted the helmet and smashed it toward him.
Soon, Spencer was knocked down to the ground.
Everett quickly helped Cameron up and asked, “Uncle, are you okay?”
“Who the f u ck are you? Why do you like to meddle in other people’s business so much?” Spencer stood up and pointed at Cameron, saying, “It was this old man who hit me first, I was just acting in self-defense.”
“I was acting in self-defense, I was the one acting in self-defense. You refused to agree and still tried to steal my money!” Cameron exclaimed, trembling with anger.

Spencer’s face turned black and white as he was hung up on. “You beat me up like this today, aren’t you afraid that I will retaliate on Yvette later?”
Spencer wiped the corners of his mouth fiercely. Could he not handle an old man, let alone a woman?
Upon hearing him lecture Yvette, Cameron’s face turned red and then pale, his lips quivering and his whole body trembling.
He knew that Spencer, the thug, could do what he said.
Before Spencer could even start to feel proud, his collar was grabbed by a hand.
“Who did you just say returned everything?” Everett was very sensitive to Yvette’s name, and as soon as Spencer mentioned it, he immediately grasped the key words.
“Do you know Yvette?” Spencer looked him up and down, a strange expression appearing on his face. “You are… his…”
The words were not finished, and Everett’s fist came at him.
“Dude, can’t we talk nicely?” Spencer groaned, covering his nose in pain, grimacing.
He wanted to fight back, but the man in front of him was at least a head taller and clearly a martial artist.
He was the best at judging the situation and adapting to it.
This man is someone you can’t afford to offend just by looking at him.
Seeing his angry face and recalling that he mentioned Yvette, Spencer vaguely guessed what was going on.
“What is your relationship with Yvette?” Spencer’s sinister gaze fell upon Everett. “No wonder Yvette wants a divorce from me, turns out there’s someone else.”
