Chapter 200 My Mother Is the Culprit
“Is this your child?” The director looked at Rosalie with excitement and said to the person outside, “Let him come in.”
Abel walked into the office and found everyone looking at him.
“Abell” Rosalie exclaimed as she crouched down and hugged him. “Mom missed you so much. Where have you been these days? I couldn’t find you no matter how hard I looked. You seared Mom to death”
Cicely died, and Edmond got into trouble again. She had also tried to find Abel, but he seemed to have vanished into thin air. Apart from appearing on the day of the funeral, no one ever saw him again.
Rosalie knew he was fine, he must have been hiding somewhere. Now seeing him perfectly fine from head to toe, she also breathed a sigh of relief.
“Abel, were you here to accompany Mom?”

Yvette and Everett walked out of the courthouse.
“Now you are free,” Everett smiled bitterly.
Yvette touched the notebook in her pocket and nodded gently, “Yes, I was free.”
After receiving the marriage certificate, she was so overjoyed that she couldn’t sleep all night. However, when she woke up the next day, all she had left was fear and worry. She had obtained the certificate too hastily.
Without a proposal, without meeting the parents, they decided to spend their lives together like this. She even started to worry, afraid that her family would find out, and even more afraid of being looked down upon by her friends.
I don’t know what Everett and the staff said, but she obtained the divorce certificate as easily as the marriage certificate, yet her heart felt empty.
Looking at Everett’s profile, Yvette bit her lower lip and said, “I’m sorry about what happened yesterday.”
A car stopped in front of them, and the door opened. Seeing the person inside, Everett’s face changed: “Mom! What are you doing here?”
After saying that, he stood in front of Yvette, looking nervous.
Seeing his subconscious gesture, Yvette felt a twinge in her nose and then lifted her chin, calmly locking eyes with Everett’s mother.
Yolanda’s face was beaming with a smile, “What’s there to be nervous about? I could even eat you up, my daughter–in–law!”
The sound of “wife” froze the two people in their tracks.
Especially Everett, his face turned pale and green alternately, looking strange.
Yolanda stepped forward and firmly grasped Yvette’s hand, saying, “Now that we have the certificate, she is officially part of our family, Everett. You must not bully her anymore. You should treat her as well as your father treats me, understand?”
This sudden enthusiasm startled Yvette and also frightened Everett quite a bit.
“Mom, why do you seem like a completely different person…” he said, casually reaching out to touch his mom’s forehead to check her temperature, but she swatted his hand away.
“How come I can’t just have figured it out and let you two be?” Yolanda smiled lightly, but didn’t show her inner dissatisfaction.
If this hadn’t happened, she wouldn’t have agreed to them being together, but she didn’t expect her son to come out and get married to Yvette right away. Judging by the momentum, it seemed like it had been planned in advance.
Was yesterday’s incident intentional on her son’s part?
Dissatisfaction and doubt surged in her heart, and she instructed Everett, “You go home first. Your father is angry right now. Hurry back and apologize, I will have a chat with your wife,”

Yolanda smiled, but the smile didn’t reach her eyes.
Coming out of the courthouse, most likely got married.
She looked down upon the act of making a lifelong commitment without first achieving success.
“Now that we have obtained the marriage certificate, let’s arrange for both sets of parents to meet as soon as possible and have the wedding ceremony early. We can’t delay any longer.”
Although Yolanda concealed it well, Yvette could still hear the irony in her words.
Yvette’s lips flickered lightly as she calmly said, “I did not marry him.”
Yolanda paused and furrowed her brow, “So, what were you doing at the courthouse?”
“Divorced.”
Divorce?

“Yeah, divorce,” Yvette chuckled, her smile deepening at the sight of her. “A few days ago, he dragged me to get married, and today we are here to exchange divorce certificates.”
Yolanda was shocked and covered her chest, her face turning pale, as they spoke so casually about marriage and divorce.
Having obtained the certificate, she got divorced again. Doesn’t that mean her Everett has already been divorced once now?
She stared at Yvette blankly, and her heart grew colder and colder.
This woman had been divorced once, which was already bad enough. How could she have also tricked Everett into getting divorced?!
