Chapter 30 He Falls in Love With Her
“Be friends?” Waldron smirked, his eyes gradually growing terrifying. “I don’t think you’re my friend.
“Who would like to make friends with a kidnapper’s daughter?”
Rosalie covered her mouth, her eyes horribly red.
She knew Waldron’s harsh words were the truth.
Though Elva was unwrapping the gifts in the room, she was all ears and heard every word they said.
“He is so partial to Claudia.
Does he really fall in love with her?”
She knew Waldron messed up the cooperation between the Friedan family and the Clayton family. But to her surprise, Waldron did so to help Claudia vent her anger.
Elva knew something bad would happen the moment she saw Claudia.
She had secretively seen Tania’s photos that Waldron collected and found that there was a remarkable resemblance between Tania and Claudia. A closer examination proved that Claudia took after Thomas.
Probably, Claudia might be Seraphina.
Since Elva was adopted by the Friedan family, she was worried until her mid-twenties that Seraphina would come back. She had thought that Seraphina would never come back.
If Claudia were Seraphina, she would be brought back to the Friedan

family. If she weren’t, Waldron would marry her.
Both of the truths were more than she could accept.
Elva didn’t want Claudia to be Seraphina. Presumably, neither did Rosalie.
Inspecting the valuable gifts that obviously didn’t belong to her, she sneered.
Though she disliked Rosalie, there was no choice.
She put down the gift and made her way to Waldron, whispering, “Waldron, you don’t regard Rosalie as your friend. But I do. She brought so many gifts here. Please forgive her for my sake.”
Elva stole a glance at Claudia and said meaningfully, “We grew up
together. We shouldn’t allow some trivial things and unrelated people to ruin the friendship of our families.”
She didn’t know what exactly happened between Rosalie and Waldron. But Waldron had always doted on her. So, as long as she said
something, there would be room for maneuvers.
Claudia looked at Elva, feeling that Elva was hostile to her for no reason. What Elva said seemed unrelated to Claudia, but she was targeting Claudia intentionally.
Claudia smiled meaningfully.
When did she offend Elva?
Knowing that Elva was putting in a good word for her, Rosalie was greatly moved.
Though the gifts failed to reach the recipient, Elva spoke up for her, indicating that they were not wasted.

Waldron curled his lip, stopping turning hostile to Rosalic.
Elva took Rosalie’s hands and said, “I’ve just returned home. I have so many to tell you. Take a rest in my room, OK?”
“OK!”
It was exactly what Rosalie wanted. She couldn’t make a breakthrough on Waldron’s side. But she might do so on Elva’s side.
Seeing the two walking into the room hand in hand, Waldron found that Claudia had walked away.
It was growing darker as Claudia was walking alone.
Waldron caught up with her quickly.
“Don’t worry! Rosalie can’t change anything even if she softens Elva up.”
Claudia nodded and looked around, trying to find a scooter.
Seeing Waldron standing to the side at a loss, she thought that she had to tell him something.
“Waldron, you’re so kind to me. I really appreciate it. You came to my rescue and helped me vent my anger today.
“But I hope our relationship ends here.”
How Elva addressed Claudia and was hostile to her made her realize that she had to say something to Waldron.
She also reflected on what she had done. Even if she wanted to take revenge, she shouldn’t take advantage of Waldron.
This was the first time she had done that. She wouldn’t repeat it.

But Waldron didn’t know her thoughts. He didn’t regret it at all. Instead, he explained patiently, “I just regard you as my younger sister.”
Words failed Claudia.
Waldron scratched his head restlessly.
How would he convince her?
Claudia kept silent for a moment and took a few steps back. “I don’t care who I am to you. If we get close, someone will gossip about us. You said that your dad wanted to see me. It’s realized. We should contact each other less than before.”
Seeing Claudia leave without turning her head, Waldron wanted to catch up with her but hesitated and stopped in his tracks.
Forget it! He would know the truth tomorrow.
He decided to be patient.
At the Friedan’s manor, Elva’s room was astonishingly large.
Seeing the extravagant room, Rosalie was green-eyed.
The rich were in different social cla**es, too. Even if Rosalie’s family was rich, she didn’t live in such a luxurious room as Elva’s.
With no one else around, Elva was arrogant again. She handed her high heels to the maid, and soon, someone else was at her service.
“Sit.” Elva pointed at the sofa.
When Rosalie sat down, a serv ant brought over a variety of nutrients.
Seeing Elva was enjoying the delicacies, Rosalie was restless.

Elva glanced at her. “Just say it.”
Rosalie went straight to the point. “Do you know how to resume our partnership?”
“No! I can’t do anything.” Elva placed down the nutriment. “Do you know why the Friedan family likes me? I only do what I should do.”
Rosalie was anxious. “You know what my dad is like. If I come back empty-handed, he will beat me badly.”
“You can bring the gifts with you home,” Elva said nonchalantly without raising her eyelids.
Rosalie’s face turned pale and black.
The gifts were unwrapped by Elva. How could she bring them back?
“Elva, if you just wanted to ridicule me, you succeeded.” Rosalie stood up immediately and turned to leave when Elva called her.
“I have something else to say.” Elva enjoyed her newly manicured nails. “I can’t do anything about the resumption of our partnership. But there is another way out.”
Rosalie was excited and turned around. “What is it? Just tell me.”
“Tell me about Claudia. I can’t think of anyone else who knows her better than you.”
Rosalie was startled when she heard Elva speak of Claudia.”
She noticed that Elva kept a cold face and gossiped, “Why did you speak of her?
“Don’t you want her to be your sister-in-law?”
Seeing Rosalie was gloating, Elva sneered, “How about you? Do you want her to be my sister-in-law, or do you want her to be Seraphina?”
“What did you say?”
Rosalie wondered, “Seraphina!
Claudia should be Seraphina!”
Rosalie felt as if her head was banged.
She even forgot what she was here for.
“Elva, is … it true?”
