Chapter 129
Sherry wasn’t particularly fond of idolizing celebrities.
She had only heard the name Christopher a few times from Camila before she formed
any impression of him. But all she knew about him was that he was a popular male
celebrity, nothing more. However, at this moment, she found herself sitting in the front,
under the dazzling lights and stage effects, watching Christopher’s powerful dance
moyés. His voice was tow and sexy, the kind that naturally suited stardom.
To be honest, she didn’t have a deep understanding of music and dance. She could
only admire him from the perspective of an onlooker. She felt that he was truly
deserving of the adoration of his fans.
Suddenly, Sherry’s phone rang. She furrowed her brows as Mr. Sniper sent her a period.
What did that mean?
Although his messages were always concise, they had never been this brief before,
right?

She replied, “What’s wrong?”
“Christopher is very handsome, isn’t he?”

“Hmm, he’s quite handsome. He looks even better in person. I just did his makeup, and
he has really good skin. He’s a naturally handsome guy, even without makeup.”
Mr. Sniper immediately called her.
Her phone suddenly started vibrating, and Sherry hurriedly answered, “Hello?”
A girl next to her gave her an unfriendly glare, and Sherry smiled apologetically, quickly
crouching down and running out of the concert venue.
Outside the stadium, the noise was still deafening, with fans who hadn’t entered
lingering outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of Christopher when the concert ended.
Sherry ran to a corner near a flower bed, where it was finally a bit quieter. “It was too
noisy in there just now; I couldn’t hear you clearly. What did you say?”

“I didn’t say anything,” Mr. Sniper said. “Did you enjoy the show?”
“Yes, I had a great time. It’s my first time attending a concert, and it was really good.”
“But I’m not very happy,” Mr. Sniper’s voice sounded a bit resentful: “I’m waiting alone in
the parking lot to pick you up, while my woman is watching another man without even
blinking.”
Sherry instantly realized, “You’re already here? Didn’t we agree on 11:30? It’s not even
10 o’clock yet.”
“That heartless Maverick stood me up, and it’s no fun going home alone, so I decided to
come and wait for you.”
Sherry replied, “Then I’ll go to the parking lot to find you now.”
“You’re not going to watch the concert anymore?”
“I won’t watch anymore,” Sherry blushed. “I’d rather watch you.”

Mr. Sniper chuckled lightly. “Don’t watch me; focus on the road. Watch your step; the
lighting is poor at night; be careful.”
Mr. Sniper drove a silver–gray Land Rover today. When he saw her approaching, he
flashed the headlights.
Sherry noticed and hurriedly walked over.
Mr. Sniper opened the passenger door for her and helped her into the car. “Why are you
out of breath? Did you run here?”
Sherry was a little embarrassed. “I’m not familiar with this place. I circled around several
times before finding the entrance to the parking lot.”
Mr. Sniper sighed helplessly and rubbed her head. “If you couldn’t find it, you should
have called me. I would have come out to pick you up. Why are you being silly?”
“I’m afraid that it would be inconvenient for you to be seen wearing a mask,” Sherry
pouted. “Your identity is a secret. There are so many media outlets waiting outside.
What if they take pictures and expose you?”

Mr. Sniper clicked his tongue twice and shook his head. “You have good public
relations sense. Should you consider a career change?”
Sherry gave him a wry smile and then asked, “Have you had dinner? Let’s go to the
supermarket and buy something. I’ll cook for you when we get back.”
Mr. Sniper tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, seemingly lost in thought. “I don’t
know yet. Let’s think about it along the way.”
The car slowly started, and after leaving the parking lot, it turned into a small alley,
seemingly intentionally avoiding the main entrance of the stadium.
Was he really scared of being in the news?
Sherry felt somewhat relieved. There was a moment when she considered calling him
to come out and pick her up, but then she felt it wasn’t appropriate. Later, she decided
to find the entrance to the parking lot by walking and asking for directions.

Fortunately, those fans thought she was also a fan of Christopher, so they were friendly
toward her and enthusiastically guided her.

Sherry shook her head. “I don’t know her, but I know she’s also a female celebrity. She’s
a guest at Christopher’s concert today. She also attended the car exhibition before.
Why do you suddenly ask about her?”
Mr. Sniper drove the car casually and said, “On the day you went to the amusement
park, Sophia confessed without being prompted. It was implied that she had less than
honorable experience abroad, so I followed the lead and investigated. It turns out that
Ashlyn and Sophia were very close, and their relationship was quite unusual.”
Sherry slapped her forehead. “That’s right, Sophia just mentioned it. She said she and
Malcolm came here by invitation, probably by Ashlyn’s invitation.”
“Malcolm is here too.” Mr. Sniper’s voice suddenly turned cold.
Sherry nodded. “Sophia said she’s pregnant with his child now, and he came along to
attend the concert together. He has nothing to do with me being here, so don’t think
too much.

problem. But if he continues to bother you, then I will have to take action.”

Mr. Sniper rarely spoke harshly, and she knew that he was being serious.
Sherry felt a little scared. “He’s just accompanying Sophia. He’s going to marry her
soon; the wedding is about to take place. Mr. Sniper, I just hope you can fulfill what you
said as soon as possible, take off the mask, and let us be honest with each other. Let’s
not worry about those unimportant things, okay? Malcolm is not worth your effort.”
“I believe he has an excessive amount of free time, and he is causing you distress.
Therefore, I intend to keep him occupied. Moreover, what I have planned for him does
not contradict my previous statement.”
Sherry carefully contemplated the implications of his words, and her expression
gradually grew more serious.
“Are you suggesting that what you have to do is connected to Malcolm?”

Mr. Sniper maintained his silence.
Sherry sat in the passenger seat, stunned, her gaze fixed ahead, while her thoughts
began to wander.
He did not deny it.
“Sherry, there are certain matters that I will handle. Please refrain from overthinking.”
Mr. Sniper’s warm palm covered her hand on her lap, gently giving it a squeeze.
