Kylie looked at Ethan.
Ethan had called her a lot today and sent WhatsApp messages. It’s not that she ignored them on purpose. She was just really busy. Then, after work, Jarvis came after her for revenge, so she never had a moment to herself.
She figured if Ethan couldn’t find her today, he’d wait
it till tomorrow.
But here he was, showing up at three in the morning.
She had no clue how he knew she was here, but knowing Ethan, he could find her no matter where she was.
Sergio noticed Ethan too,
Sergio seemed surprised.
Didn’t Ethan make a public announcement that he got together with Stella? Stella just left, yet Ethan is here looking for Kylie! And at this hour! Sergio thought.
Last time Sergio talked to Kylie, Kylie didn’t deny having sonnething with Ethan. But knowing Kylie, Sergio doubted she’d secretly be Ethan’s lover.

Ethan walked up to them.
He didn’t even glance at Sergio, just looked straight at Kylic. “All lone?”
“Yeah,” Kylie replied.
“Let’s go.” Ethan reached out and took Kylie’s hand.
The two of them left calmly.
Kylie didn’t push Ethan away just because he had a fiancée.
And Ethan didn’t seem mad that Kylie was with Sergio.
It was like they trusted each other no matter what.
Sergio watched them walk by him..
He felt like he didn’t exist,
Sergio’s fists clenched.
Kylie acts so proud and high-and-mighty, but she’s actually Ethan’s secret lover!’ Sergio-thought.
Sergio was furious but didn’t know how to let it
Then his phone rang.
Sergio answered, “Perla”

“Hey, Sergio, haven’t heard from you tonight, I’ve been worried” Perla sounded anxious.

Hearing Perla’s concert made Sergio feel a bit better.
Remembering how kindly Perla treated him, Sergio felt somewhat comforted.
Just last night, Perla had called him in the middle of the night. As soon as Sergio answered, Perla couldn’t stop crying. She kept saying she felt useless and couldn’t help him.
It took a while before Sergio understood that Cohen wasn’t interested in investing in his family business. Perla’s efforts were in vain. She even argued with her father and was distressed about potential problems at Moore Group, eventually breaking
down.
Sergio was already in a foul mood. The ongoing troubles at Moore Group were a daily source of irritation. Hearing Perla’s unstoppable crying only added to his frustration. Despite trying he couldn’t help but yell at her. But rather than getting upset. Perla blamed herself. Finally, she suggested that Kylie could be the key to saving Moore Group
Sergio then found out from Perla that Galaxy Group was looking to collaborate with other brands. Given Kylie’s fame and popularity, any partnership with Galaxy Group promised to be profitable. Getting this deal could rescue Moore Group,
Sergio was well aware of Kylie’s personality. She might not be inclined to help Moore Group again, but Perla’s persistent encouragement was hard to ignore.
Perla said that there was no other option but to try. She even mentioned that there was bad blood between Jarvis and Kylie. Given Jarvis’s nature, he might seek revenge on Kylie. If Sergio played the hero, Kylie might soften towards him.
Perla also said that Kylie, feeling abandoned by Ethan, would be emotionally vulnerable. If Sergio made the first move, Kylie might set aside her past grievances. Perla even advised Sergio not to worry about her own feelings and focus on helping Moore Group survive its current crisis, because Perla believed that their relationship was as solid as a rock.
Sergio was touched by Perla and felt grateful to have a woman who loved him so much.
“She’s tough,” said Sergio and he told Perla about the night’s events.
Perla just sneered on the phone.
She knew Kylie well. Even if Sergio begged and killed himself, Kylie wouldn’t care.
Perla just wanted Sergio to fail.
“It’ll take time. You hurt my sister a lot. She’s probably just being cautious. Perla tried to sound comforting.
“But I can’t wait. Kylie’s making bids this week, and Moore Group is in deep trouble. We need money fast, or we’re done for Sergio was frustrated.
“What do we do then?” Perla sounded close to tears. “Isn’t there a way to make Kylie work with us?“
“I can’t threaten her now…” Sergio paused, an idea forming.
A way to force Kylie to cooperate?’ Sergio thought.
A cruel look crossed his face.
“Do you believe in us?” he asked Perla.
“Of course. I wouldn’t have asked you to talk to my sister otherwise. I just want everything to be okay,” Perla said firmly.
“That’s all I need to hear, Sergio reassured her. “I promise you’ll always be Mrs. Moore, no matter what happens.
“I’ll wait for you, Perla said obediently.

They exchanged some sweet words and hung up.

Perla smiled wickedly after hanging up.
If Sergio is smart, he’d know what to do. I can use this to my advantage, play the victim, and turn things against both Sergio and Kylie. A win-win for me. I. Perla Stafford, will never lose! Perla thought
Outside the hospital, Ethan took the car keys from Kylie. “Your car?”
He looked at the low-key Lexus.
“Yep. Kylie replied.
Ethan got into the driver’s seat. Kylie pursed her lips, before she got in beside him.

They drove towards her place,
It was 3:10 am.
Kylie had a meeting with the higher-ups at 8:30 am. If she went home now, she would not be able to go to bed until 4:00 a.m. at the earliest. She’d have to wake up before 7:30 am. for the meeting. She would only get in three and a half hours of sleep.
Looking out at the empty streets, she said to Ethan, “Ethan, if you’ve got something to say, say it now,”
Kylie didn’t want to waste the little sleep time she had.
