Tess said, “I’m sorry, Kylie. I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t have to. However, I am indeed afraid of losing Lucas. Can you at least stay away from Lucas outside of work?”
Kylie answered, “I have tried to stay away from him. I never tried to approach him willingly. Fine, I promise you.” She felt bad after seeing Tess’s pitiful look.
Instantly, Tess’s tears turned into smiles.
“Kylie, thank you. I know you’re a good person,” Tess said excitedly.
Kylie thought, I’m not a good person. I also don’t think you deserve any sympathy for thinking that way. I just don’t want to waste any time on you two. I also don’t want any trouble from you. I will stay away from you and Lucas no matter what.”
Kylie knew that Lucas and Tess’s relationship was weird. She didn’t believe that Tess only wanted a verbal confirmation from her. However, she made a promise to her anyway

Lucas remained silent.
“In the past, when you were overseas, you would never look at other women, let alone have interactions with them. But ever since you saw Kylie, your eyes would always be on her. Tess looked at Lucas with some sadness.
Lucas didn’t know how to respond to her.
He could not deny that.

He didn’t know why he became so frustrated when he saw her today.
He didn’t know if he was angry or upset about her not taking care of herself.
He turned his head to the side and looked out of the car window
“Lukas, do you not like me anymore?” Tears rolled down Tess’s face.
“No, Lucas answered.
He turned around and saw that Tess’s face was covered in tears.
When he was at his lowest, Tess was the only one who was there for him.
“Please don’t dislike me, alright? Let me know if I made any mistikes. I promise I’ll change. Can you please not fall in love with another woman?” Tess was about to break down
She couldn’t stop sobbing.
“I won’t. Don’t let your imagination run wild.” Lucas wiped her tears.
Tess grabbed Lucas’s hands. “I don’t want to overthink, but you’ve really changed a lot. In the past, you only cared about me. However, you would always pay attention to Kylie these days. I am so scared!”
Lucas tried to comfort her. “We’re getting married soon. When my parents get back from overseas, we will hold our wedding. Don’t overthink.”
“I actually told Kylie a lot just now.” Tess looked at him with tears in her eyes.
Lucas didn’t ask her what she said to Kylie.
Tess said, “I told her to stay away from you and never talk to you again”
Lucas’s expression changed slightly.
“Are you angry?” Tess was always able to tell how Lucas was feeling.
Lucas replied, “No.”
“Kylie agreed. She said that she would never contact you again. I know my behavior is really despicable, but I have no choice. I’m really afraid that you’ll be attracted to Kylie. She’s too beautiful and charming. Tess held Lucas’s hand tightly.
“As long as she says yes,” Lucas seemed not influenced.
“Then, can you promise me that you will never approach Kylie again?” Tess looked at him with longing eyes.
“I will never talk to her,” Lucas assured her.
Tess asked, “Even if you have to, can you please not talk to her?”
Lucas didn’t know how to respond to that.
Tess apologized, “I’m sorry, Lucas. I don’t want to be so domineering and selfish as to restrict your life. I know there’s nothing between you and Kylie now, but you’re both outstanding people. I’m afraid that once you get along, you’ll be attracted to each other. I can only use this despicable method to prevent that from happening. Perhaps I’m just sensitive and petty, but I don’t want to take the risk because I’m too afraid of losing you.”
Lucas remained silent.

“No, I won’t. Lucas nodded.
He was used to protecting Tess.

Her character didn’t offer much chance for her to leave an impression on the audience.
However, Zola had expected this to happen. She already felt grateful that Leopold was able to offer her a chance to act.
Leopold had always been a fair person. Based on Zola’s current status in the industry and her performance in the airport competition, it was reasonable for her to get this role.
