Jaelynn was so worked up because Zola Ita hit her right where hurt.
That was why she couldn’t bear the thought of Zola and Leopold being together.
Jaclyn owed her entire career in the entertainment industry to Leopold. Without him, she wouldn’t have the status she did.

With that, Zola walked away, leaving Jaelynn seething with rage.
Inside, Jaclynm roared, Zola, how dare you use your elder status to pressure me? Who do you think you are? I w acknowledge you as my aunt or your relationship with Leopold! Never!
Zola returned to her seat.
Before she could sit down, someone came over to toast her.
Zola, Theard about your relationship with Mr. Cavanaugh, You really kept it well hidden.” Leah, a bit tipsy, spoke casually to Zola “Well, if we had talked behind Mr. Cavanaugh’s hack earlier, how would that have turned out?”
“What difference would it make?” Zola laughed. “As long as we’re all in on it together.”

Zola raised hers too.
As the celebration wore on, Zola couldn’t take it anymore.
Luckily, the host had also gotten drunk. Once he left, the dinner party was over.
As Zola walked out of the club, heading toward the car, she came face to face with Leopold leaning on his cane at the entrance, waiting for her.
The moment he appeared, many people around them started making jokes.
“Mr. Cavanaugh, are you here to personally escort Zola home?”

“Mr. Cavanaugh, since you’re already here, fancy joining us for a nightcap?”
There was a chorus of playful banter from the crowd.
Zola had been quite tipsy, but Leopold’s arrival sobered her up almost instantly.
The jokes from the surrounding crowd made her feel extremely embarrassed.
She couldn’t understand why, in the dead of night, Leopold, with one of his legs injured, was wandering around like this!
“Sorry. I had something going on tonight, so I couldn’t make it to the celebration. I’ll make sure to make it up next time,” Leopold said with a smile.
“Was it your daughter clinging onto you and not letting you leave?” an actor joked.
“I did just manage to get her to sleep,” Leopold said.
In truth, since Leopold started living with Jasmine, she had indeed become quite attached to him. Basically, once he got home, it was unlikely he would be able to leave again.
“You managed to get her to sleep, and now you’re eagerly here to pick up Zola. Someone else teased.
Leopold openly admitted. “I was worried she might have had too much to drink and not feel well. Luckily, I made it in time, or I might have missed it. It’s getting late, so I’ll just take Zola home now. We can catch up next time.”

Zola followed Leopold toward the car.
Leopold reached out to hold Zola’s hand.
With so many people watching. Zola couldn’t refuse, so she had no choice but to walk hand in hand with him, leaving in front of everyone.
Zola got into the car and pushed away Leopold’s hand.
“You didn’t have to come to pick me up so late,” Zola said frankly
“I didn’t want people to start rumors about us having marital problems.”
“How could that be?” Zola didn’t believe it at all.
“For the sake of ratings, the tabloids will come up with anything. Leopold said.

She said, “Anyway, in the future, don’t come to pick me up like this anymore. Right now, the media is portraying our relationship so positively.
