“You leg…”
“I’m fine,” Kylie said firmly.
“Well, then, get up. Let’s go eat,” Ethan said.
Ethan stood up, getting ready to leave.
“Ethan,” Kylie called out.
Ethan naturally turned around.
Meeting Kylie’s gaze, Ethan said indifferently, “If you really want to call me that way, go ahead. It’s just two days anyway.”
There was a flicker of disappointment in Kylie’s heart.
For a moment, she thought Ethan remembered.
“Do you need anything?” Ethan asked her impassively.
“My leg is not convenient. Can you carry me?”
“Don’t you have a wheelchair for that?”
“But I can’t get out of bed.”
“How did you get up there?”
“I just want you to hold me for a while. Is it
so hard for you? I’m not fat.” Kylie snapped.
She always felt like every word she said to Ethan took a year off her life.
How could the Ethan after amnesia be so annoying?
‘God, can you give me back the original Ethan?’ she wondered.
Ethan hesitated for a moment, then bent down and lifted Kylie from the bed.
Just a second ago, Kylie seemed ready to explode, but now her heart softened.
Kylie leaned gently against Ethan.
It was the familiar scent on him, just because it was him.
Ethan placed Kylie in a chair in the dining room.
After setting her down, Ethan adjusted her position.
A hint of a smile played at the corners of Kylie’s mouth.
“Haven’t you eaten yet?” Kylie asked.
It was already past 8 p.m. at this point.
“I haven’t,” Ethan replied.

“Are you waiting for me.
“I just woke up too.” Ethan dampened her enthusiasm.
“Stop lying.” Kylie didn’t buy it.

“Believe it or not, it’s up to you.” Ethan didn’t offer further explanation, and he bowed his head to eat the hotel’s delivered
dinner.
He had indeed just woken up.
Because last night, he couldn’t sleep either.

Ethan pushed Kylie out of the hotel villa and onto the picturesque private beach, where they felt the sea breeze.
Most of the time, they walked in silence.
Ethan never initiated conversation, and Kylie often swallowed the words she wanted to say.
He couldn’t even remember. Whatever she said seemed futile.
Kylie suddenly sneezed.
The night wind was chilly.
Instinctively, she hugged herself.
The next moment, she felt a warm jacket draped over her shoulders.
Kylie looked back at Ethan.
“I don’t want to take care of patients,” he said softly. “It’s annoying.”
“If you’re tired of it, why don’t you let go?” Kylie asked him, knowing full well that he was tired of taking care of Tess.

“She saved my life,” he said quietly.
“So you’re going to marry her?” Kylie was genuinely furious. “Ethan, we can be grateful, but that’s not an excuse to bind someone. Tess’s actions don’t deserve you giving up on yourself!
Ethan fell silent again.
Whenever it came to the crux of the matter, he would clam up.
Kylie bit her lip.
She forced herself to stop speaking.
It was rare to have alone time with Ethan, and she didn’t want it ruined because of Tess.
“Let’s go. I want to go back,” Kylie said lightly.
Ethan pushed Kylie back to the hotel villa.”
The villa was large, with many rooms.
There were rooms both upstairs and downstairs.
Kylie stayed downstairs because of her inconvenience, while Ethan obviously wanted to go upstairs.
“Ethan,” Kylie called out to him.
“It’s late. You should go to bed early.” Ethan reminded her.
Kylie could actually feel that Ethan had always kept a distance, a kind of elusive closeness.
“We can sleep together,” Kylie said bluntly.
Ethan was really taken aback by Kylie’s sudden words.
“Are you excited?” Kylie chuckled.
“Forget about it. We’ll each sleep in our own beds.” Ethan refused.
“Are you afraid you won’t be able to control yourself?” Kylie provoked.
“Provoking me won’t work,” he replied, not even turning back as he went upstairs.
Kylie watched Ethan’s indifferent figure.
She told herself not to be angry.
He was indifferent to her only because he had lost his memory of Ethan.
If he recovered his memory, Ethan would not be able to resist her.
Kylie struggled to stand up from the wheelchair.
Her left leg was injured, so her right leg could still be used.
She leaned on the railing and hopped up the stairs step by step using her right leg.
Ethan’s refusal didn’t mean she gave up.

Suddenly, he lifted her up in his arms.
Ethan walked quickly and decisively toward the bedroom upstairs.
