Chapter 18
“Hello,” Tiffany walked back to her home and sat in the dark room, dialling the number of one person she knew would support her without asking any questions because he was head over heels for her.
“Hey Tiff, what is it?” Jack asked.
From his drowsy voice, it was clear that he was sleeping. And why not? He was back from his monthly scheduled 24–hour patrol.
“Did I disturb you?” Tiffany asked, trying to sound coy, and the man cleared his throat, looking at the time with his brows narrowed.
“No, you didn’t. I am always free for you. What I want to know is, if there is a reason you called me at this time of night,” Jack asked, knowing her too well that she wouldn’t call him like that if she didn’t need any kind of help or wanted to involve him in something.
“I caught some rogues on the southwest border. They were trying to enter the pack to spy on our system,” Tiffany started slowly.
“Yes, and? Why are you telling me about it? I am sure I don’t need to remind you
and wh of the protocol. Have you reported it to the alpha?” He asked,
and when Tiffany didn’t say anything, he furrowed his brows.
“What is it, Tiffany? You know you can tell me anything, right? I will help you with whatever I can,” Jack said, making her smirk.
That’s what her plan was. To honey–trap Jack into helping her.
“It’s just, can you come with me to talk to them? That rogue b*tch who is rumoured to have become the alpha’s secretary is true. The alpha is getting close to her. Even after everything I did for him, he is rather choosing her over me. But that’s not what matters to me. I can’t digest the fact that he is letting a rogue near him, forgetting about all the things those bandit wolves did to us, our pack and parents,” Tiffany sniffed drama before explaining everything she saw and heard happening.
Jack, who had been listening to her intently, looked at his reflection in the mirror.
It was funny how she was asking his help in taking revenge, even when it was well–known that he really cared about her.
Will you come, Jack?” Tiffany asked, and Jack nodded before humming. “How can I not come when it’s for our pack? Give me five minutes–Lash
whispered, and Tiffany smiled before ending the call.
As he had said, after five minutes, he was standing outside her house, and she quickly walked out, crossing her arms over her chest.
Jack looked at her from head to toe before clearing his throat.
“Where are they?” He asked.
Tiffany motioned towards the pack boundaries, an indication that they were outside.
It was a protocol to lock the rogues in the dungeons once they were found culprits after informing the alpha, beta or Gamma of the pack. And if none of them were available, the report was to be made to the border security.
However, since Tiffany never made an official report to anyone, she didn’t need to lock those rogues in the dungeons, thus saving herself enough trouble.
They walked to where the rogues were locked inside the steel cages in the caves, and Tiffany’s entire persona changed.
From the patriotic pack member who cared about her pack and the safety of the members and didn’t want her alpha to commit any mistake. by getting seduced by the rogue, her persona changed to a jealous woman, who was ready to do anything to get the person she wanted. Tiffany sat in front of the rogues, her eyes darkening as she looked them up and down.
There were seven of them. Five males and two females.
“I am sure you guys must be thinking of plans to get out of here before I represent you in front of the alpha. I am here to make your work easy,” Tiffany stalled, letting them understand that, this time, she was here with a beneficial deal in mind.
“You guys said that it was just a mistake. You guys didn’t plan on coming here deliberately and only did it for some money, and if I let you go, you would never return to this part of the state and repent for your mistake, no?” Tiffany asked, and the rogues looked at each other before nodding warily.
“I will let you go –” she let the sentence trail off, smirking inwardly at the hopeful gleam in their eyes.
That was right. That was what she wanted to see.
The more hopeful they would be, the better they would perform, and so would be their urge and desperation to get out of here.
“You can leave this pack and never return, but before leaving you will. have to do one task of mine. You will have to kill a rogue,” Tiffany said, and the rogues looked at each other again.
It was obvious to them that this girl was using them for her personal agenda since she didn’t present them to other pack members, but the most they had imagined was her asking to harm a pack member. Why did she want them to harm a rogue when they could clearly do it in the name of pack protection?
“And yes, I don’t want any smartness from your side. If you guys think you will be able to fool me and leave this place, then you have no idea. how wrong you guys are. I have already taken your photo and finding you won’t be hard. So think wisely. And yeah, we will provide the rogue too. You don’t have to go far. All you need to do is kidnap the girl and take it far away before killing her and making it look like it was some. rogue thing or a rogue fight,” Tiffany smirked before standing from her place to give them enough time to think about it.
“We will do it. We will kill the rogue to get out of here,” The girl jumped on the opportunity to be set free, and Tiffany looked at others, who nodded in agreement.
“Perfect, I will let you know the time tomorrow. This man will come and free you.
Do your work properly. If I liked it, I might even give you 10 thousand dollars too,” Tiffany said before she nodded at Jack, and they walked out.
Tiffany was about to walk towards her house when Jack held her hand, pulling her close and crashing his lips on her.
“What the hell are you planning, Tiffany?”
