Chapter 32
After a couple of hours, Anastasia finally walked out of the room, looking as fresh as ever as she was dressed in her office attire, ready to go to work. She walked to the hall where Alpha Kaiden was already sitting with some. files scattered on the table and didn’t know how to react or talk to him anymore. It was beyond awkward for her.
Alpha Kaiden sensed her presence and looked up. He remembered the conversation they had and that he had been thinking about for more. than the past two hours.
He looked her up and down before sighing.
“Come sit,” he motioned for her to sit, and Anastasia looked at the scattered papers that looked like some kind of documents, she raised her gaze back to Alpha Kaiden, who sighed.
“I need your help sorting these rogue details. You said you have been living in the woods, finding out more about them because you probably want their favour for some kind of revenge plan. Help me sort this and then we are leaving for the council chambers,” Alpha Kaiden said.
To say Anastasia was surprised would be an understatement. She looked at him utterly bewildered,
He said he was taking her to the council chambers. Does he not know. that this time of the year is known for the alphas meeting in the council? No. He doesn’t look like the type who would let something as important as this slip up his mind. He wasn’t the most dangerous alpha før nothing. Was the meeting postponed? She thought and looked back at the alpha as she started sorting the rogues according to their ranks and powers she had heard about them and even met some of them.
Honestly, she also felt guilty about what happened earlier. Yes, both of them were hyperactive about their emotions; but she didn’t exactly want to make him sound like he was some kind of pervert only looking for sex in her even if he was.
This wasn’t supposed to be like this.
She also knows that it’s all because he was being so patient with her that she was still sitting here.
If he wanted, he could’ve easily thrown her into the dungeons, but he was
still treating her respectfully and it was more than enough to know that though he was rumoured to be the most dangerous, he was like that only to save his pack members and be the strongest.
“Why?” Anastasia said after some time and Alpha Kaiden looked up from the papers, his hot blazing gaze meeting hers as he quirked his brows. “What do you mean?” He asked, keeping the papers aside, and giving her his undivided attention.
“I want to ask, why do you want to take me to the council?” She asked, and Kaiden rolled his eyes.
“Apparently, because I want to know the truth circling you and things that only the council can answer, things like why rather than helping the rogue girl with things they were letting her roam the wolf even when they know how wild it can be outside?” Kaiden said, and Anastasia looked into his eyes before narrowing her eyes.
He was lying. It was clear from the way he was looking at her with smugness in his expression. And if he was being like this. It only meant. one thing. He was suspicious of something, and she sighed.
Her phone was indeed in the living room for an hour in the morning, and he could’ve perfectly used that opportunity to look into it. But then, it was password–protected.
“Don’t hurt your horses too much. I am not suspecting anything. Besides, I would like to formally apologize to you for my past actions. I shouldn’t have acted like I did,” Kaiden said, and Anastasia raised her brows
Something about this situation didn’t feel too right. Why was she having a feeling that…
“However,” Kaiden paused.
She looked at him with anticipation. Of course, there is always a however or but lurking in the meanings of the sentences.
“What is it?” Anastasia asked, but rather than answering her, Kaiden appeared right in front of her and grabbed her neck, pinning her back to the couch, and hovering over her.
“There’s still no doubt in my mind regarding you. I will make you mine, Anastasia. However, long it takes. It’s like you are the last straw that can help me breathe under the sea, and if this straw is going to think that I am using her by wanting to suck her wet dripping pussy that gets aroused as soon as I am touching her like this –” Kaiden shifted his hand to

neck and Anastasia’s breathing immediately became uneven.
She looked at him with a wronged expression, hating her body even more for being so reactive to his touch, especially after the wet dream. she had.
-then so be it. I can hear some wronged expressions if it means I will get to suck this sweet aroma of yours. That’s the main reason why we are going to the council. To announce that this rogue would be taken soon and anyone who thinks otherwise would be standing against the Blackthorns,” Kaiden smirked at Anastasia’s shocked expression.
“You are not serious,” Anastasia raised her brows, and Kaiden smiled. “Oh, you have no idea how serious I am. This is not a curse that was
me
given to yesterday that I don’t have any idea about. It has been years. like this, and I know that you are the ou person for me,” Kaiden stopped before kissing her cheeks.
“And after thinking for so long, I can assure you that it’s not entirely because you are the cure to my condition. I am smitten with your beauty too. I am not some teenage boy, Anastasia. Me and my wolf know a pretty girl when we see one. And I can assure you that you are one hell of a woman in our eyes,” Kaiden smiled before he kissed her eyes and forehead.
“I know how to confess my love,” he smirked at her with a smile before he stood from his place and left the house, leaving her flabbergasted and shocked with all the turnout of events as she gulped, her heartbeat pacing at the speed of a bullet train.
‘Dione, did it all happen for real?” Anastasia asked her wolf, but judging from her state and how her wolf was gushing in the corner of her headspace, she knew that she didn’t need to be told twice. It really happened.
What kind of mess have I landed myself into?
Anastasia sighed.
