One more step and I won’t think twice before shredding each of you to pieces so small that even your alpha will have to bring a magnifying glass to collect the remains,” Dione threatened, her energies radiating off Anastasia, who was feeling too traumatized at the moment as she sat in the corner of her headspace, rocking herself back and forth to stop thinking about her mom’s death.
Dione’s heart broke for her human counterpart, and she closed her eyes to control her raging emotions.
She had thought that he would help her human counterpart get some peace with Alpha Kaiden, who would keep her mind off of things, but seeing how things turned out worse for them again, Dione sighed at Anastasia.
She didn’t wait for a second longer and started running towards the forest to get out of this place.
If needed, she was ready to change into the wolf form and fly away if it meant to keep Anastasia safe from a place as toxic as this.
Dione gave the control back to Anastasia as soon as they neared the pack borders, and since most of the fighters had gone to help the alpha with the rogue attack and the rest were handled by Tiffany and her friends, no one stopped her from leaving.
As Anastasia neared the borders and crossed them, she saw one man she hadn’t expected to see here, and as soon as he saw her, his gaze darkened. “Sia,” He whispered, recognising the same broken expression on her face that he had once seen, and Anastasia paused.
She looked at him with her eyes brimming with tears before she closed her eyes
“What happened?” He asked, and she shook her head, making him sigh. “Of course, how can I forget? As if you will tell me anything,” he said to her before he bent and picked her in his arms.
“Don’t worry. I am here now. No one will bully you anymore,” the man said sweetly, all the way he carried her out of the forest, sighing when he noticed she fell asleep to cope with her sadness once again.

Meanwhile, Logan returned to the pack after a couple of hours to handle. the pack so that the rogues didn’t attack the pack, thinking it was left. without an alpha and they could take advantage of the situation.
The situation was handled in the neighbouring pack. It was almost like a false alarm, and though many people got injured, luckily no one died. Alpha Kaiden stopped at the pack to discuss the strategies with the other alphas regarding the rogue issues.
As Logan walked to the alpha’s second house, he was hoping to see the same girl who has gotten their alpha whipped around her finger these days.
And as alarming as it should be since she was a rogue, for some reason, his alpha’s happiness mattered more to him, and thus, he supported the girl.
He wanted to discuss a few things with her about Alpha Kaiden and how she shouldn’t mind his words and anger too much because the poor guy has been left without love for quite a long.
However, as he entered the house, the first thing he noticed was the weird chilled atmosphere. It was as if the house was left untouched by a living soul for a couple of hours.
His eyes narrowed, and he looked around the house in haste, his hands shaking in anger at the thought of what happened. This rogue girl really ran away, didn’t she?
After everything his alpha did for her, and how nicely he treated her despite her rudeness, she ran away, leaving his alpha brokenhearted. ‘Why are all the women in his alpha’s life so cursed?’ Logan gritted his teeth as he sat in the middle of the hall on the couch, trying to think of a way to break this news to his alpha.
He was busy thinking when he heard some commotion at the entrance. He looked at the person, hoping it was the rogue girl, but when his gaze met his alpha, he gulped.
“It was a really hectic day,” Alpha Kaiden said, and Logan looked at him warily, his expression uneasy.
“Anastasia, come out. We are leaving for –” Kaiden froze in his place when he didn’t feel her presence in the house.
She didn’t really do what he thinks she did, right? He had told her to wait for him, and her expression didn’t say anything otherwise.
She ran away, Alpha, Logan said, confirming his doubts, and Kaiden clenched his fists.
No. She couldn’t run away like this. Something was wrong. She didn’t even have a problem when he said they would be going to the council or when he confessed to her. Then why did she leave? He thought, his expression turning wild now as Atlas started to feel uneasy.
Kaiden walked out of the house to interrogate the border security system and know why the hell no one stopped, her when he saw a child hiding behind the wall while he looked at him with a scared expression.
This kid. Kaiden looked at Logan, who immediately nodded.
“He is the same kid, sir. He is doing well now,” Logan said, and Kaiden smiled before kneeling on the ground and motioning for the 8–year–old kid to come to him.
This kid had been suffering from stage four cancer. He was a rogue, Kaiden found on the other side of the forest when he was running to let out some heat.
The poor kid didn’t have any parents or relatives and was left by a rogue group there. It was only because of Kaiden’s pity this child got to live. “Come here,” Kaiden said to the kid, and the kid walked to him with soft padded steps.
“What is it? Why are you/scared of me? Do you want to say something, kiddo?” Kaiden asked, and the kid nodded meekly.
“I am happy when the alpha is happy. The alpha was happy with the girl. The girl ran away. They hurt her,” The boy said in whatever English he could comprehend to talk in front of such a powerful alpha, and Kaiden. narrowed his brows.
“That girl hurt someone before running away?” Kaiden asked, but the boy only shook his head.
“They hurt her. She cried. It hurt her. Punches. She left the house,” the kid said, and Kaiden took a deep breath, hoping what this kid was saying was just a joke.
“Logan, bring the CCTV footage of the hidden cameras in the pack,” Kaiden ordered, and Logan immediately nodded before leaving.
