Nikolay:
Anastasia called me again, for the fifteenth time, in the past half an hour.
I couldn’t answer her knowing that I was now being watched by almost everyone, and walking into my office, Katerina had her arms crossed over her chest, waiting for what I had to say.
“I don’t understand why you’re angry about this when the two of us are nothing to each other.” I said, raising an eyebrow at her.
“You do realize that you just ruined my reputation with what you did, right?” She asked, looking me in the eye. “How do you think the media would react to the fact that the two of us just got fucking married and you had the fucking audacity to cheat on me on the VERY second day?”
“We can manage to get out of this easily.”
“And how do you plan on doing so? The media…”
“The two of us can travel tonight, and take a picture, post it on some social media being together. It would be faking the news, and the two of us would be getting out of this one without much damage.” I said, and she frowned, shaking her head at me.
“And do you think that no one would see us at the bloody airport? Regardless of the private plane, Nikolay, there would be people that would see us at the airport. There would be…”
“We will leave tonight, there is no need to pack anything. We’ll head to Bali, and in the morning. the two of us would post a picture, cuddling on bed, and post it on some media. That way, people would start doubting the media. I have a house at Bali, so you don’t need to worry about the hotel seeing us entering or leaving.” I said, and she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “If you want to get out of this with the lease damage, then I do suggest that you agree to this. I don’t think that you need to pack, the two of us can get what we need there.”
“At this point, I don’t even have another option. I might as well just jump off a bloody cliff.“ Katerina said, shaking her head at me.
“Believe me, Katerina, this is the last thing that I would have wanted to do….
“Then you should have thought of that before thinking with your dick.” She said, stopping me. “I will be ready in ten minutes.”
“Your parents are calling me.” I said, looking at Katerina who shook her head. She lay her head on the armrest, and running her fingers over her temple, she didn’t bother responding.
I waited for a few seconds before answering the phone, her mother, was who was on the other line. “Where is my daughter?”
“She is asleep.” I said, lowering my voice to a whisper, pretending that she really was asleep. Katerina shook her head at me but didn’t bother commenting as she listened. “Is there anything

“You fucking cheated on my daughter…”
“That was an old picture.” I said, stopping her. “Katerina and I are not even at New York to begin with, but you cannot expect your daughter to be the only woman that I have been with. She may my wife, but i do have my past, and that was one picture that was taken a year back with my ex.”

“What ex? Nikolay, we have been working with your family for years, and never, not even once, have you brought up the topic of having a lover. She asked, snapping at me. “Do not take me for a fool…”
“You can ask. Her name is Anastasia, and the two of us have been together for the past seven years. If I never spoke about her, it is because I chose to keep her away from the spotlight, but that does not mean that I am lying.” I
1 d, and looking at me, Katerina shook her head as she let out a mocking laugh. It wasn’t until she got up from the chair that she was sitting on, and heading toward the front of the plane, choosing to stay as far away from me as possible, that I chose to end the call.
“I will have her call you when she wakes up. The two of us were at the beach most of the morning and didn’t have time to check on the phone.” I said, before hanging up. I got up from my chair and walked to Katerina who was sitting on her chair, staring at the screen ahead of her. She didn’t say word as I approached, not that I expected her to anyway. Nor did she bother looking at me. Her eyes were simply fixed on the wall as if in trance.
“Do you want to eat something?” I asked.
“I want you to go away, Nikolay.” She said, looking at me. Her hate could be seen in her eyes, and frowning, I shook my head in confusion.
“Why the fuck are you this bothered? The two of us barely got married and here you are, putting up a jealous‘ act.” I said, frowning in confusion. “We never meant anything to one another to begin with; therefore, I don’t really understand the reason behind your reaction.”
“I asked you to stay with me today, and you said you had work. It turns out, work was a bitch who. you chose to fuck while you were busy threatening me.” She snapped, getting up from the chair that she was sitting on. “Rather than choosing to look at your wife, give her a second fucking glance, you choose to be with a bloody mistress, and to make it worse, you are shamelessly lying about it. Sure, let’s say that they fell for it, why are you doing this to me, huh? What did I do to you?”
“I was not going to leave the love of my life to simply marry you, Katerina. The two of us are married, and were married by force, and you are aware of it. The last thing I ever wanted and will ever want is to be anything in your stupid life.” I said, ignoring the clench that I felt in my chest at her words which she directed toward Anastasia. I chose to respect the fact that she could be angry, and though, this was one rare occasion, the next time she dared bring her name up, I would be sure that things aren’t taken so lightly.
“Then you are going to handle the hell that I am going to give you.” She said, making me frown in
confusion.
“I beg your pardon?”
“I am not that woman who you can simply take advantage of for your sake of power, Nikolay. And It
