The next day, Zoe made her way to Lockwood Corporation. She passed the jewelry box to Ava and asked her to give it to Mason.
Ava hesitated a while before asking, “Perhaps you should talk things over with Mr. Mason? I’ve been with him for the past few days and I can tell he hasn’t stopped thinking about you.”
Zoe shook her head with a smile. “We’re divorced. So, it’s really not. necessary!”
Ava watched as she left and pondered. It seemed that Zoe had truly moved on from Mason.
Making her way to the top floor, she entered his office and gave the jewelry box to him.
He ran his finger across its surface gently and asked softly, “Did she have a message for me?”
She shook her head in response, “She didn’t say anything.”
After a brief moment, he said lightly, “You may leave now!”
He touched the box again after Ava left. He had tried to treat Zoe well and made a lot of efforts after the divorce, but she didn’t want it. Not his efforts and certainly not his gifts.
She had moved on from him completely.
However, he hadn’t.
That was because when Zoe left him, she also left tears in his heart.
If he had known he’d become so obsessed with her, then he might not have chosen his career. Instead, he’d choose to save his marriage.
There was no turning back now. They were divorced!
Leaning back on the leather chair, he shielded his eyes from the blinding light.

Rosemary was having a dinner party at her place on Saturday night. She was very close with Zoe. So, she invited her to have a taste of the food earlier than the other guests. Zoe was more than happy to comply. In the end, she gave Rosemary some positive reviews about the food.
Dressed in a modern dress, Rosemary looked elegant and
sophisticated, “These are Exotic Flavors’s signature dishes! I made a point to use their service to serve my guests.”
Patting Zoe’s hands, she said quietly, “The owner, Farley, will also be here tonight! He wanted to set up a business in Brookesville and he’s in search of a business partner! I’ll introduce you guys tonight.”
Zoe was well aware of Exotic Flavors. It was a publicly listed group with a market value of over two hundred billion dollars and it focused on the food and beverage industry. It’d be best if she could make a connection with it.
She appreciated Rosemary’s efforts genuinely. “I’ll repay you someday!”

Her children lived overseas and her husband was downright
unreliable. She had to have some contingency plans. She had high hopes for Zoe.
The dinner party started at seven o’clock. The graceful melody of classical music filled the air as a group of elegantly dressed ladies mingled about.
Rosemary wore a beautiful smile on her face and introduced Zoe to Farley, who originated from Silvercrest.
Well-versed in the ways of socialization, she spoke softly, “Greetings, Farley. Allow me to introduce you to Zoe. She’s the lady I told you about. She just started learning about running a business and her dessert spot is kind of huge!”

Farley was a man who was reaching forty years old. He was built tall and looked refined.
Being a gentleman, he released her hand as soon as he held it. Then, he said with a smile, “Rosemary has spoken so much about you, Zoe. You’re truly as beautiful as she said. I’d say you’re spectacular enough, with or without makeup and rouge. Meeting you made my trip well worth it!”
She took his compliments graciously.
