Mason was pondering on Zoe’s condition while he was smoking. 

The doctor had told him to do things that’d make her happy, but he was at a loss now. He didn’t even know how to make his wife happy. It seemed that everything he did was wrong. 

A slender figure stood behind him. It was Eira! 

She didn’t disturb him. Instead, she merely looked at him from afar. He seemed so lonely. 

Why was that? Wasn’t he happily married with a daughter? He 

should’ve been enjoying life. So, why did she get the feeling that he isn’t happy? 

After smoking two cigarettes, he was about to leave. However, the moment he turned around, he saw Eira. He was a mature man and it wasn’t hard for him to guess what Eira thought about him.

His eyes grew darker as he walked toward her. Eira’s heart started pounding. She assumed he’d say something to her. After all, they knew each other.

Mason went downstairs and got into his car.

How was it possible for Zoe to have postpartum depression? She had Yanni to keep her company. Look at the way she gazed at their baby, so tender and loving. If anything, she was only mad at him and hated him! 

Reaching out with a hand, he ran his fingers across Yanni’s face. 

It was such a good moment! 

He loved taking Zoe and his baby out. Perhaps he should stay with her more. That way, she’d eventually feel better if she really did have some mental issues. 

Mason treated Zoe well for a long time. He had been extremely patient with her too. Everything about her seemed normal, aside from the fact that she treated him coldly. On top of that, she never brought up anything about leaving him again. 

He couldn’t help but think that they were finally over the hump. She had finally come around and decided to remain married to him for the 

sake of Yanni. 

Winter was approaching. Yanni was two months old now. 

He made a point to ask the chef to cook something different tonight. Then, he gave the servants some pocket money for good measure. It 

was such a happy occasion that he uncorked a bottle of wine and drank about half of it.

Zoe and their baby were sleeping soundly by the time he went back to the bedroom. It smelled sweet and happy in here. 

Instead of turning on the light, he relied on the moonlight to guide him. He walked over to the crib and rubbed Yanni’s cheeks. They were so soft to the touch. He couldn’t resist leaning closer and kissing his baby, which made him feel joyful and pleased. 

After a shower, he laid down by Zoe She was wearing a red silk robe. The soft silk was clinging to her body. Her shoulder was slender and the bones beneath it looked so seductive.
