Chapter 477
The moment Zoe laid eyes on Lisa, she was thrown back to the days. when she was tortured at the rehabilitation center.
Tugging at her overcoat, she said coldly, “Stop begging me! Let me make something clear. I’m going to check on him because he’s the father of my children, not because of you.”
That still meant she was willing to go. Lisa couldn’t help but shed a tear, “Alright! I understand.” She had lowered herself to this extent, but it did nothing to move Zoe.
Later, Zoe remained quiet in the car while Lisa kept biting her tongue every time she tried to talk. In the end, she sighed and said, “I know you hate me, Zoe.”
Zoe turned her face to the side and looked at the snow out the window. Her voice was soft when she said, “I’ll never forget that hellhole. So, don’t expect me to forgive you.”
Lisa covered her face in response.
Perhaps she was getting old or perhaps she was shaken from the possibility of losing her son again. Either way, she started reminiscing. Zoe used to greet her sweetly whenever she saw her when she was young.
Truth be told, she loved having the young girl as her daughter-in-law, but she still treated her like dirt after she married her son.
However, it was too late to cry over spilled milk.
Both of them didn’t say another word to each other.
The night rolled on and the black limousine drove through the black ornate gate before pulling over into its parking slot. Zoe got out of the
car first and couldn’t be bothered to wait for Lisa She made her way to the door.
This manor used to be her home, after all. She knew the place like the back of her hand. In fact, she could find her way upstairs even if she was blindfolded.
Lisa realized that Zoe left the car hastily.
Looking at Luke, she said sobbingly, “She clearly cares about Mason. She just won’t admit it!”
Luke responded, “It’s hard on Ms. Zoe too.”
Wiping her tears off, Lisa went into the manor without another word.
Zoe was no doctor. The best thing she could do was soothe Mason. After all, he kept mumbling in his sleep. It was a good thing his fever had come down!
His mumbles were so bold and revealing that Cecil and Ava stayed on the ground floor just so they wouldn’t hear something they shouldn’t. Westley and Lisa left the room as well. Now, Zoe was the only one looking after Mason in the bedroom.
She couldn’t wake him up.
He kept sweating. Beads of sweat rolled off his searing skin, passing through his popped veins. His veins looked so scary that they made a stark contrast against his refined features.
In fact, Mason was never a gentleman on the inside.
At that moment, she spaced out a little. That was when he caught her lean arms.
His eyes were opened and she saw that they were bloodshot. Perhaps it was his high fever that did it, or perhaps it was his lust.

In any case, he was gripping her tightly and staring right at her. The lust in his eyes was unmistakable.
“Mason!”
She locked gazes with him and called out to him out of shock, trying to bring him to his senses.
However, it didn’t work.
He was delirious from the high fever. Moreover, he missed her so much. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was her leaning over the edge of the bed. Wearing a blouse and a long dress, her face looked radiant and her curvaceous figure looked tempting.
Reaching out, he pulled her over with ease.
She wanted to call for help, but she was embarrassed to do it.
Pushing against his shoulder, she tried to keep herself from being so intimate with him. With that said, there was no way she could fight against a delirious man. He was frighteningly strong now.
Kissing her neck, he ran his hands all over her body. He even tore her stockings off and reached under her clothes.
He fingered her with a frantic intensity, giving her waves of pleasure!
“No… Stop it, Mason…”
She tried to prop herself up and get off of him.
Staring at her, he asked softly, “Doesn’t it feel good for you? Take a look at yourself!”
