I Refuse to Divorce! by Light Breeze Chapter 483

Chapter 483

Gwynn’s privacy was not so much about looking after her as it was about keeping a watchful eye on her. The poor lady didn’t have any freedom except for when Noah was in the villa.

He might’ve given her a wealthy life and bought her the most expensive clothes, but she was nothing but a puppet to him.

This was the first time Zoe had seen Gwynn.

Her sister-in-law was much younger and more petite than she had imagined. She had fair skin and her features were as defined as they were fragile, giving off a sense of delicate beauty.

It was the middle of the night and she was wearing a silk robe while she played the piano.

Her sleepwear hung loosely on her dainty frame, masking the fact that she was six months pregnant.

Noah was sitting on a couch next to the piano, still wearing his work shirt and long pants. He had a laptop on his knee, keeping a watch on his wife while he worked.

At that moment, it almost looked like everything was as well as it could be.

Zoe called out to him softly, “Noah!”

Raising his head slowly, he looked into her eyes, unsurprised by the fact that she had found her way here. They went on and stared at

each other for a long time before he smiled dryly and broke the silence.

“What are you doing here at this time of night?”

Closing his laptop, he raised his voice and said, “Make ready a room for Zoe, Gladys. Also, make her some supper. She’ll have some

homemade pizza.”

Gladys quickly went off to carry out her master’s order. He had

brought her here all the way from Silvercrest. Clearly, she knew her master loved his younger sister the most, even more than he loved his wife.

That was when Gwynn stopped playing the piano.

Leaning over, he looked at her and said in a decidedly gentle tone,” Why did you stop? Come over here!”

She was quite wary of the stranger in her villa.

Walking over to him, she sat down timidly. He ran his hand across her slightly bulged belly and said to Zoe, “This is Gwynn. She’s my wife! Our baby’s due in another three months.”

Then, he spoke to his wife softly, “That’s Zoe. My younger sister.”

Gwynn merely leaned on his chest, unwilling to say anything.

‘s suitcase slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.

one could’ve seen just how out of sorts Gwynn was. There was arly fear and resignation in her eyes. At the same time, she was inging to him the way a child would. Then, there was this intense sorrow in her eyes that Zoe was all too familiar with.

Looking at Noah, Zoe exclaimed in a trembling voice, “You’re out of your mind, Noah!”

His eyes grew dark at that.

Concerned that she might upset Gwynn, she lowered her voice and added, “Don’t even think about telling me this is how she is! She’s barely an adult and yet you’ve married and impregnated her. What’s

worse, you turned her into this…

“I’m not trying to defend Liam. I hate him as much as you do and I’m totally fine if you want to take revenge on him, but not like this! Don’t you think this is too cruel for poor Gwynn?”

Trying to compose herself, she asked, “What are you going to do after your baby’s born? She’s not fit to raise a child in her current state.”

Lowering his head, he looked at her and said coldly, “The pregnancy was an accident! Also, I’ve arranged for my servants and a babysitter to take care of my baby when he is born. All Gwynn needs to do is be my wife and live the luxurious life I provide for her.”

Zoe felt a shiver down her spine at what he said.

After that, Gladys brought Gwynn upstairs because Zoe and Noah were having a big fight. In fact, they were so engrossed in it that they didn’t notice a slender figure crouching on the second floor. Her long, black hair cascaded down on the white, silk robe.

It was Gwynn.

Tears were streaming down her delicate cheeks. She kept covering her mouth. It had been such a long time since she had heard anyone talking about Liam. That probably meant Noah’s younger sister could see him!

Leaning back on the couch, Noah lit a cigarette and stared at Zoe. ” You’ll return to Brookesville first thing in the morning! Also, don’t even think about telling Liam what you’ve seen here. He can’t take a flight if he wants to. Even if he somehow makes his way here, there’s nothing he can do.

“Gwynn is legally married to me. Now that she’s gone off her rocker, I’m her guardian. No one can take her away from me!”
