I Refuse to Divorce! by Light Breeze Chapter 497

Chapter 497

Mason was pissed off now. He snorted and said, “Guess what? I’m always chock full of lust.”

Putting on the coat, she got out of the car.

Holding the car door, she looked at his dashing features and said purposefully, “You’re a sexual deviant! You’d better get it checked!”

Then, she called her chauffeur to come over.

She trained her gaze on him while they waited and he didn’t try to drive away either.

In fact, he was merely toying with her earlier. Deep down, he respected her very much.

Once her chauffeur came over, he moved over to the passenger seat and said to Zoe, who was standing outside, “Happy New Year, Zoe!”

Giving him a sidelong glance, she turned and left.

However, the moment she turned around, she felt as if somewhere deep in the far corner her heart, which was also her most vulnerable part, had crumbled.

Mia saw her coming in and asked, “Did the chauffeur send him

home?”

The thought of what happened earlier made her feel shameful. So, she responded softly, “Yeah.”

The fact was, Mia used to

be young too. So, it took her one glance to

know what went down out there. Giggling, she said, “Even the

toughest lady can’t take it when a guy persistently chips away at her defenses!”

nonetheless.

Then, they had dinner and she started asking him about Zoe again. Swirling the glass of wine in his hand, his mind traveled back to the moment of passion they just shared in the car earlier. The fact was that he did what he did to make sure he still had a place in her heart.

If she was really sick of him, she wouldn’t have let him lay a finger on

her.

Zoe was shaking uncontrollably when his fingers slid in and out repeatedly earlier. Her love juices were flowing out like an open faucet. He was mature enough to know that her body wasn’t put off by his touches, at least.

After a brief moment, he came back to his senses and said, “She’s still angry at me, I guess.”

He had no intention to say too much on the matter.

Lisa didn’t press for more information either. All she wanted to do was redeem herself. So, she started speaking on behalf of Zoe.

“Ladies have their pride as well. You used to treat her quite horribly. So, it only makes sense that she wants to be treated well now. What you’ve got to do is stop breaking her heart. That’s the right way to go.”

Then, she hesitated for a while before she decided she should say her piece, “All I want is for you to be happy for the rest of your life! I’ve done so much wrong by you in the past. Please forgive me, Mason.”

His face went stiff underneath the glow of the crystal chandelier.

Moments later, he broke into a faint smile and said, “It’s all in the past. now. None of it is worth mentioning!”

She fought the urge to cry. Things were certainly better between them now, but it was going to take some time before they could overcome the wedge between them…

It was the middle of the night when Lisa thought she should return to

her manor.

Before she left, she gave two envelopes to him, asking him to give them to her grandchildren. It was some pocket money she had been wanting to give them.

Mason took them.

She finally let out a sigh of relief.

Then, she got into her limousine and pulled out a jewelry box from her handbag. There was a jade bracelet in there. She meant to give it to Zoe, but Zoe had never accepted it.
