The woman’s eyes were bright and clear. Her skin was very smooth and devoid of wrinkles. She also got a beautiful face. For a second, Claudia thought she could be some celebrity
The beautiful woman pounced at her,
Claudia was backing off when she saw the woman smiling at her and calling, “Seraphina.
“Seraphina, come to mommy.”
The woman’s eyes were sparkling, and she looked so amiable when smiling, so innocent and kind. It made Claudia stop in her tracks.
The next second, an arm was around her neck. The woman’s voice was extremely soft.
“Seraphina, how did you know mommy is here? You won this round of hide-and-seek.”
The woman extended her other hand and patted Claudia’s head with it.
It warmed Claudia’s heart.
She had guessed who this middle-aged woman was.
This was Thomas’ wife and Waldron’s mom, Emily.
The name she was calling naturally belonged to the missing young lady of the Friedan family.
Not sure if it was because of her me ntal state, Emily had been carefree. Also, she had been taken good care of, so it looked like she had stopped growing old after she reached forty.
It was said that Emily’s family was very rich. And because she was beautiful, she had starred in a famous TV series in the early years as a
supporting role. She was known throughout the country. But because her family was against her career, she left the showbiz. Otherwise, she could totally have become an established actress.
Seeing such a gentle and beautiful woman hug her, Claudia felt very comforted.
She had never experienced love from her mother, and this made her heart jump. She even hoped Emily really was her mother.
Emily was such a beautiful woman, and both her husband and son were so wonderful. But she caught that kind of disease before she could start enjoying her life. If she really was Emily’s daughter, then she could heal part of her wound.
Sadly, she was only an abandoned kid and wasn’t as lucky as Seraphina.
She forced herself to return to reality.
“Ma’am, I’m not Seraphina. My name is Claudia.”
Emily hurriedly shook her head. “No way! You’re Seraphina.”
She was so insistent, and Claudia stopped trying to correct her.
She fetched the maid to take care of Emily.
The maid was very surprised to see Emily. “Mrs. Friedan, so you’re here!”
She said to Claudia gratefully, “Ms. Lloyd, thank you!”
“You’re welcome.” Claudia kinda liked the maid for her good manners.
When the maid was taking Emily away, Emily gave her a look. She looked rather unwilling to leave Claudia. “See you tomorrow then.”

Claudia nodded with a smile. “Sure.”
The maid gaped in surprise.
When did Mrs. Friedan become so close to Ms. Lloyd?
After Claudia walked out of the room after changing, she saw Waldron, who was standing right at the door, at once.
“Why didn’t you choose something else?” Waldron looked at her upside down.
“This one is good enough. It’s very comfy.”
Waldron nodded, and he squinted.
The test result would only come back after a week. He was getting rather impatient. He actually planned to make his mom and Claudia meet, but his mom suddenly disappeared.
He once read a piece of news where a mad woman miraculously recovered after meeting with her daughter who had been missing.
He didn’t believe in miracles. But the seemingly endless wait for the result made him want to believe it for once.
A maid ran over and said to Waldron. “Mr. Friedan, your father tells you to go over. Mrs. Friedan is found.”
FOUND?
Waldron’s eyes lit up. He hurriedly took Claudia’s hand. “Come. I’ll take you to a place.”
Before Claudia could take her hand out of his grip, they bumped into a
person.
This guy was in a black shirt and trousers, and he looked like he was disappearing into the darkness. However, he had a tall and nice figure, and his cool and gorgeous face was as stunning as a rose in the dark night.
“Waldron, where are you taking my wife to?”
The man looked at him grimly, his lips a hard line and his eyes full of fury.
