After ending the call, Sherry couldn’t shake off what Mr. Sniper had said.

“What’s the fun in playing alone? Hey, don’t be such a killjoy!” Joseph grabbed her hand
and rushed toward the Frisbee.
Sherry was startled, but luckily she was wearing white sneakers today. After stumbling
for a moment, she managed to regain her balance. However, even so, Joseph’s strength
almost caused her to fall to the ground.
Being pregnant made her more and more timid, afraid of bumping into things.
When they arrived at Frisbee, Sherry realized a harsh reality: Frisbee was a popular
attraction, and there was a long queue. The place was already crowded. Roughly
estimating, it would probably take at least seven or eight turns before it was their turn.
Joseph frowned and said unwillingly, “I knew we shouldn’t have come on the weekend.

anyway.

fewer people,” Joseph suddenly brightened up and pointed to a nearby bungee jumping
ride. “Let’s go on that one; it’s even more thrilling than the Frisbee, and not many people

Sherry’s legs went weak as soon as she heard it, and she firmly refused, “I’m not going.”
“Come on, are you scared? What happened to the fierce attitude you had just now? It
turns out you’re just a weakling,” Joseph sneered, looking at her disdainfully.
Sherry didn’t argue with him. She had her own plan in mind. Even if she wasn’t
pregnant, she would never go on something that scary.

first. His time was limited, and he wanted to play at as many attractions as possible
rather than waste it on a quarrel with Sherry.

Joseph frowned.
“Do you talk to your parents like this at home?” Sherry asked.
Joseph shrugged. “What’s wrong with me? I didn’t use any foul language.”
It’s true. Sherry thought for a moment and gave up.
This brat had parents and even an older sister. Now he was going to visit a
brother–in–law. Naturally, someone would educate him, so why should she get involved?
Hey pretty lady, can you stop being so indecisive? If you keep saying no to everything, I
might as well go find my dad directly. After all, there’s nothing to play here, and your
company’s cars can’t be sold.”
Sherry hesitated. She wasn’t afraid of the brat going to find his dad, but she was afraid
of facing Sophia and Malcolm when she got back.
Just now, Mateo had helped her block their gaze; otherwise, Malcolm’s eyes would
never leave her! It’s better to avoid unnecessary trouble. She came to help Mateo; she
couldn’t distract him and cause more chaos.
She sighed softly and said, “Fine, as long as it’s something on the ground and not too
fast, we can take it slow.”
Joseph seemed to have already made up his mind and pulled her directly toward the
haunted house.

Sherry gritted her teeth. After all, ghosts were fake; they were just staff members in
disguise. She just needed to prepare herself mentally before going in, and it should be
fine. Besides, she had a feeling that this troublemaker would turn the haunted house
into a mess.

“Let’s go!” Joseph held her hand and walked in. “Don’t be afraid. If you’re not even afraid

Sherry chuckled. “You have a clear understanding of yourself, huh?”
Joseph puffed up his cheeks and said, “Stop teasing me. I’ve always been like this.
Anyway, you have to accompany me today.”

Sherry nodded. “Alright, but don’t cry when you see the ghosts later.
“Girls cry; I’m a man; I definitely won’t cry. I’ll even knock those ghosts‘ teeth out!”
Joseph swung his fist in the darkness as he spoke.
Inside the haunted house, it was so dark that it was almost impossible to see the
surroundings.
There were only a few dim lights, barely illuminating a small area. The ghostly green
eyes and blood–like red music, combined with the eerie and terrifying music, made
one’s hair stand on end.
Joseph entered the haunted house with confidence and pride, but as he took a few
steps, fear started to creep in. He tightly grasped Sherry’s hand, feeling his palms
becoming sweaty.
“Are you scared, pretty lady?” he asked.
Sherry whispered, “A little. And you?”

we came?”
