Joseph turned around cautiously and immediately let out a scream: “Ghost!”
They saw a “female ghost” wearing a white dress with her hair disheveled, obscuring
her face. She had been standing behind them without them noticing.
Slowly, she lifted her head, her neck cracking as she did so. From her tangled black hair,
a pale face emerged. Her eyes were wide open, and blood flowed from her eyes, mouth,
and even nose. She reached out to approach Sherry and Joseph.
“Get away! Get away! Don’t come near me! Go after her!” Joseph was so terrified that he
lost all his senses. He pushed Sherry and quickly ran off.
Sherry was still overwhelmed with fear when a strong force pushed her forward, almost
causing her to fall onto the “female ghost.”

Sherry calmed down. “I’m fine; I can handle it. It’s daytime now, and Malcolm and the
others are here too. It’s better for you not to show up.”
“I’m fine; I’m just worried about you.”
Sherry’s voice became calmer. “It’s okay; didn’t you tell me to be confident? I haven’t
done anything wrong, so naturally, I’m not afraid of ghosts. Don’t worry about me.”
Mr. Sniper still had some concerns, but seeing that Sherry had made up her mind, he
could only go along with her. “Okay then, keep your phone on and call me anytime if you.
need anything, okay?”
“Okay.” With him as her support, Sherry immediately felt more at ease. “Is your

“Not yet.”
Sherry bit her lip. “Then continue with your meeting quickly.” She quickly hung up the
phone.
Even if he were the boss, it’s not very appropriate to make private calls repeatedly in
front of so many employees, right? While Sherry worried, she also felt somewhat
fortunate.
She felt grounded with him. She might not be as strong as him, but at least she could
depend on him.
As she put her phone away, her heart gradually calmed down, and she resumed her
journey.
