Malcolm’s face darkened.
Seizing the opportunity, Sherry freed herself from his grasp and turned around to
continue searching for an exit.

The sound of a child crying resurfaced. Sherry listened carefully for a while but couldn’t
determine the exact direction.
Fortunately, this time Malcolm refrained from making any more inappropriate moves.
He stood alone in the shadows, arms crossed, lost in thought.
Sherry paid no attention to him. She could hear the sound of a child crying, which
meant that Joseph shouldn’t be far from her. If that was the case, Joseph should be
able to hear her voice.
“Joseph! Can you hear me?”
The crying abruptly stopped. Sherry wasn’t sure if Joseph had stopped crying because
he heard her voice.

expression, “Why don’t you go out and let Sophia come in? Sophia is his older sister,

Sherry was taken aback for a moment and fell silent. She had been worried that
Joseph, being a young child, would be scared here and wanted to find him quickly. But
she didn’t expect that children would have preferences. He didn’t like her from the
beginning. He had thrown his basketball at her during the car exhibition, and she had
just demanded an apology from him. He probably hates her by now.
Sherry took a deep breath. “Alright then, I’ll go out and find Sophia.”
She turned around and walked out.

“No need. I don’t want to talk to her,” Malcolm said. “I’ll go out with you.”
Sherry couldn’t meddle in their affairs. She went back through the narrow passage,
passing through the first room, and then saw the bright light at the exit.

As she walked out the door, the outside was still bustling with people. Today was the
weekend, so there were more people at the amusement park. Others were queuing up
for other attractions, but strangely, very few people entered this haunted house.
While walking on the road, Sherry could still hear a few students discussing

The students quickly passed by the front of the haunted house, took a big detour, and
headed toward the roller coaster on the other side!

Malcolm had been half a step behind Sherry all along, and they walked to the rest area

From a distance, Mateo saw Sherry and stood up, waving at her. “Over here!”
Sherry smiled and nodded, walking quickly toward him.

Mateo chuckled softly. “Actually, whether we have a car or not doesn’t matter anymore.
My brother’s goal is to try to recruit him to the real estate company under the Morgan
Group. But from the looks of it, Mr. Wilson will most likely support his son–in–law. It’s
impossible to recruit him; it’s just a waste of effort.”
Sherry actually understood that the only bargaining chip Sophia had to marry Malcolm
was David, and there was also Nora. No matter what, he would definitely enter the Ford
Group.
“In that case, if things don’t work out, will your brother get angry at you?”
“Why is he being mean to me? In fact, he just sent me to try our luck. But to be honest,

Sherry glanced at the drink in her hand cautiously, smiled, and politely declined. “Thank
you, but I’m not thirsty.”
Nora smiled awkwardly. “Oh, I apologize, Sherry. I didn’t mean anything by it. This drink
was just opened, right? Isn’t that correct, David?”
David was enraged upon hearing her words. “Is she a queen in the palace? Does she
require a maid to taste her food before she eats it?”
