Chapter 16
Sherry couldn’t help but burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Mr. Sniper had always seemed calm and mature to her, but overnight he had become
mischievous.
“I might go out with some friends tonight and won’t have time to cook dinner. Can you
eat out or should I prepare it ahead of time for you to reheat when you get back?”
Sherry asked Mr. Sniper.
“Which friend?” he inquired.
“Camila, my childhood best friend.”

“Well, then, go out and have fun. I also have something to do tonight, so I might be late,”
Sherry said.
Camila drove her to the Hilton Hotel to meet her friend.
Camila immediately went into detective mode, sniffing around with her nose in the air.

Sherry found it amusing and asked, “What are you sniffing?”

“I’m sniffing out the scent of a scumbag, Camila stated solemnly, sniffing from the
living room to the bedroom and nodding contentedly. “It seems that this Mr. Sniper is a
good man, and I am confident in leaving you with him.”
Sherry burst into laughter. “So, you can determine if someone is a good man just by
sniffing? That’s impressive.”
Camila proudly puffed up her chest and said, “Of course! Let me tell you, scumbags
always have one characteristic: they carry the scent of other women. Whether it’s the
scent of cosmetics or perfume, it can be detected. As for you, I know you well. Even

though you used to be a makeup artist, you don’t wear any cosmetics yourself. You only
have the smell of shampoo on you, so it’s easy to tell.”
Sherry nodded in agreement. That made sense.
She had worked as a makeup artist for a while to earn extra money, but she was
inexperienced in the industry. Fortunately, the pay was better than at the coffee shop.
so she was willing to take on such jobs.

“Hey, Sherry, are you looking for a job?” Camila abruptly asked.
She certainly was.

But because she didn’t have a degree or any specific skills, she had a hard time finding
work. Additionally, she had to go to the hospital at noon to deliver food to her uncle,
making it difficult to balance regular working hours.
Camila firmly stated, “Leave it to me. I’ll call you if a suitable opportunity arises.”
Camila took Sherry to the beach at dusk.
“There’s a party on a yacht tonight, and almost all of the young elites and heirs of
wealthy families in Herzoslovakia City will be there. It’s a great opportunity for you to
meet new people, make friends, and maybe find out who Mr. Sniper really is,” she
explained.
The first part of Camila’s statement piqued Sherry’s interest, but the second half
captivated her.
Chapter 16 Comedy At The Party
According to Camila, this party was hosted by a prestigious but mysterious business
mogul.
Almost all of Herzoslovakia City’s young stars and heirs were invited. Mr. Sniper was
most likely among the attendees, and he wouldn’t be wearing a mask at such an event.
He was about to reveal his true identity.
Sherry felt apprehensive, and her palms started to sweat.
She didn’t mean to invade Mr. Sniper’s privacy, but she was curious about the person
who showered her with so much attention.
And whether he had a family.
She had been hurt before, so she didn’t want to become someone else’s mistress
without their knowledge.
Camila put on her sunglasses. The lenses were enormous, almost covering half of her
face, accentuating her delicate features.

Camila had taken Sherry to get her hair and makeup done beforehand. Sherry was no
longer the same person she used to be.

“You look so different now, I almost didn’t recognize you,” Camila commented, pleased
with Sherry’s new style. “Sherry, you should dress up more often. You look absolutely
stunning when you dress up! You can easily outshine many female celebrities!” she
remarked, adjusting her bangs.
Sherry felt a bit embarrassed. ‘Camila, I’ll try to pay you back for the money we spent
today on clothes and hair as soon as possible.”
“No need to pay me back. Do you think I need that little money?” Camila dismissively
waved her hand.
“I know you don’t need the money, but it’s a matter of principle for me,” Sherry stated
firmly.
“Alright, alright, we’ll talk about it later. Let’s get on board first.”
Camila successfully boarded the yacht with Sheiry after showing the invitation at the

door.

There was a buffet with food and drinks in the center of the deck, but few people were
taking advantage of it. Most of the attendees were engaged in conversations in small
groups.
It was an excellent opportunity for networking and collaboration. Everyone in business
was wise and wouldn’t miss out on such opportunities.
“Damn, why is he here too?”
Sherry’s eyes widened as she followed Camila’s gaze.
Malcolm was not far away, holding Sophia’s hand and carefully helping her sit down,
using his body to shield her from any accidents. He held her tightly in his arms, afraid
that someone might bump into her stomach,
Sophia smiled gently, appearing both compassionate and flirtatious. Sherry didn’t know
what she had said to him, but Malcolm’s face was also beaming.

“These two have no shame. Malcolm even brings his mistress to such a high–profile
party? Damn it, I won’t be able to let go of this anger unless I teach these scumbags a
lesson!‘ Camila exclaimed fiercely.
Sherry hesitated for a moment, wishing she could stop Camila, but it was too late. She
had already rushed over in a panic.
Camila had a fiery temper. She started scolding Malcolm, pointing directly at his nose
and shouting rapidly and forcefully. Many people heard the commotion and quickly
gathered around.
Sherry hurriedly followed, realizing that something was not right.
Sherry overheard Camila berating, “Malcolm, you’re an idiot! Do you know how
shameless the woman beside you is? She bribed the gynecologist and deliberately
gave Sherry a diagnosis of infertility!”
Malcolm, being a man of status, suppressed his anger and couldn’t help but ask coldly,
Ms. Castillo, do you have any evidence? Sophia is Sherry’s cousin and has always
respected and loved her. How could she do such a thing?”
Chapter 16 Comedy At The Party
“Do you believe everything Sophia says? You want evidence, right? Fine, I’ll show you
the evidence!” Camila pulled up the surveillance video on her phone and aimed it at
Malcolm’s face.
“Take a close look! The woman you love and protect bribed the obstetrician and
intentionally gave Sherry an infertility diagnosis!”
“You’re talking nonsense!” Sophia snapped, tears welling up in her eyes. “Malcolm, your
know this doctor, Ms. Gianna. She did my prenatal checkups. She and my mom are old
acquaintances.
She has been taking special care of me since I became pregnant, and I just wanted to express my gratitude to her. I had no idea that my mother would visit her the next day for Sherry’s check–up.”
“Stop!” Malcolm yelled, positioning himself in front of Sophia. “Did Sherry invite you to come and cause a scene? Let her know that justice will prevail, and Sophia is not what
she assumes.
Camila had more to say, but Sherry had already taken hold of her hand. “It’s not worth

“Sherry…” Sophia called out to her, tears welling up in her eyes and her face flushed
with anger. “Don’t blame Malcolm. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have become pregnant
with his child… Ah!”
Sophia shouted and covered her face in anguish. She looked at Sherry, stunned.
