salary. Sherry didn’t say anything; she just touched her nose, lowered her head, and
followed Samuel, trying to blend in.
She only wanted to do her job well and get paid; she didn’t want to offend this person,
who didn’t seem easy to talk to.

confident!”
Samuel felt a little embarrassed. “Well, you never know, right? Ms. Wilson is also
working with us for the first time; I’ll keep an eye on her throughout.”

requirements for the models‘ makeup?” “Ms. Wilson, you’re paid by me; shouldn’t you
have done your homework before coming here?”
‘Mr. Samuel,’ Sherry asked softly, “may I ask, what is Mr. Mateo’s name?”
‘Mr. Mateo’s full name is Mateo Gray. He is a renowned international automotive
designer.
Today’s car show is his personal exhibition and the launch event for his own car brand.
He has been preparing for this event for several years, so he takes it very seriously and

requirements at all, how can you create makeup that satisfies the models?”
Sherry smiled as she pursed her lips. “Can Mr. Samuel, who is familiar with your
requirements, do it?”
Mateo became enraged, and his fists clenched swiftly at his sides.
“Mateo, besides myself, do you have any other makeup artists ready for today?”
“What do you mean?” Mateo hissed.

the makeup for the models will have to be done by me.”

Sherry stood tall and straight, pushed her black–framed glasses up her nose, and
nted to the wall clock, saying, “There’s less than an hour before the car show starts.
If you don’t plan to use me, I can leave now, and you can find another makeup artist
who knows your name and requirements. If today there’s only me responsible for the
models‘ makeup, I think what you should be concerned about right now is whether
there’s enough time, not whether your name is well known.”

away more than a dozen makeup artists in a month?” Mr. Samuel was scared pale by

head to face the man in front of her. “Time is running out, Mr. Mateo; please respond as
soon as possible.”
“Haha!” Mateo exclaimed with a cold laugh. “Sherry, right? You’re bold enough; I

you now.”
“Thank you,” Sherry remarked, raising an eyebrow, “I’m honored to be remembered by
Mr. Mateo.”

“Very well,” Mateo said, crossing his arms and standing up straight. “Ms. Wilson, please
commence your task. If you make any mistakes at the car show today, Castillo will not
be pleased with me, and you will be responsible for any financial losses incurred.”
“Shall we begin?” he added, making a gesture of invitation.
