Chapter 35
A loud and forceful bang echoed in the corner of the hospital room.
Sophia screamed in terror and curled up under the bed.

The bedside table had been destroyed; wooden splinters scattered in all directions, and
a few pieces had cut through Sherry’s delicate legs, causing blood to slowly trickle from
her fair skin.
She didn’t care anymore. She approached the bed where Sophia was hiding, step by
step.
“Come out,” she said.
Sophia was terrified and couldn’t speak properly. “Are you insane? Sherry, are you really
out of your mind? Are you willing to sacrifice your life for someone worthless?”
“Worthless?” Sherry said coldly, standing in front of the bed and slowly crouching down
to face Sophia. “But look at what you’ve become. The person you called worthless is
willing to humble himself and shine shoes for others, willing to eat stale bread that can’t

be bitten, willing to sleep only three or four hours a day, all to support your education
abroad!”
“That’s his choice! I didn’t force him!” Sophia retreated step by step.
“Well done.”
Sherry knew that everything she said to Sophia now would be like talking to a brick wall
because she was just a person with no values!
During their conversation, Sherry had already grabbed the metal pole used for hanging
IV bags.
Sophia was shocked. “What are you going to do?”
“As long as you’re alive, your father will be driven to his death,” Sherry said, holding the
metal pole above her head.
“Help! Help!” Sophia yelled as she pushed Sherry aside and hurried towards the door.
The hospital room door was kicked open with a loud noise.

Malcolm ran in and securely wrapped Sophia in his arms, taking a strong blow from
Sherry.
A woman couldn’t withstand a man’s strength. Malcolm effortlessly snatched the metal
pole from her grasp and tossed it aside.
“Malcolm, save me! Sherry wants to kill me!” Sophia clung to Malcolm’s arms, sobbing
violently.
“Sophia is pregnant,” Malcolm murmured, staring blankly at Sherry. “Her child is your
nephew as well. Do you despise her that much?”
“Do you remember what she did to my uncle?” Malcolm, it’s fine if you like her. You have
the option of being with her and having children. But please keep your distance from
me and
my
uncle!‘
“Sherry!” Malcolm’s anger flared, and he yelled angrily, “Even if Sophia is mistaken, she
is still your uncle’s biological daughter! You are not required to defend him!”
Sherry grumbled, “Biological daughter? She would have killed my uncle if it hadn’t been

for me today! Let me warn you, Malcolm: take care of your girlfriend. If she tries to
provoke us again, my vengeance will not end today.”
She then walked out of the hospital room, kicking the metal rod on the ground.
She couldn’t collapse yet, and if she did, her uncle would most likely die.
She needed to be strong, she had to be strong.
Tears streamed down her cheeks, forming droplets that fell to the ground.
Sherry brushed them away with the back of her fingers and took a deep breath.
“Sherry,” Malcolm said from behind her, “let’s talk.
Sherry didn’t even look back and said, “I have nothing to say to a scumbag like you.”
Malcolm pulled her closer, saying, “Come here; I have something to tell you.”
“I don’t have anything to say to you!” Sherry struggled hard. “Malcolm, you jerk!”

Malcolm’s strength was too much for her, and he threw her into the dark stairs before
closing the door behind him.
He pushed Sherry back with a hand on her shoulder, saying, “I can break up with
Sophia.”
“What did you say?” Sherry was taken aback, then frowned.
“I said, if you come back to me, I can break up with Sophia.”

Sherry burst out laughing, as if she had heard a joke: “Mr. Ford, what’s wrong with you? I
can’t have children, I’m uneducated, and I can’t do cosmetics like Sophia. I’m not fit to
be Mrs. Ford. Please remember me. Please don’t give up on Sophia because you and
she are a perfect match.”
“I know you’re upset; I heard what you said in the hospital.” Sophia has a negative
attitude towards her father. I completely understand how you feel.
“Not good?” Sherry exclaimed, “She cursed my uncle to death! She despises my uncle.
for not having money or status, and she’s ashamed of him!”

“I know, I know,” Malcolm tenderly comforted her, “but Sophia is still carrying my child;

isn’t that my flesh and blood? After Sophia gives birth, I will completely cut ties with her,
and we can continue our life together, okay?”
Sherry was speechless after listening. She shook her head and groaned.
He was capable of saying such things.
“What am I to you, Malcolm?”
“Of course, you’re my wife.”
“And what about Sophia? What do you think of her?”
Malcolm took a breath, embarrassed. “I’m a man, men make mistakes, especially when
they are visually stimulated, and it’s easy for them to lose control.”
This was a very ironic scene.
Is this a mistake that all males make?

And what about being visually stimulated? Malcolm had been her husband for four

years, and he had only touched her once before they got married. They hadn’t slept in
the same bed since.

And now he’s making an excuse about being visually stimulated?
Her mistake was revealing her true identity after signing the divorce papers.
“Malcolm, I don’t hate you anymore.”
Malcolm was happily surprised. “Really? I knew it; Sherry understands me best. Please
listen to me; let’s wait for Sophia’s child to be born, and then I will completely cut ties
with her. We can continue our life together, okay?”
“I already have someone I like,” Sherry admitted. “I don’t want to see you and Sophia
ever again.”
Just then, a nurse approached them in the corridor outside and asked, “Is Noah’s family
here?”
“I’m here!” Sherry exclaimed loudly, pushing aside Malcolm’s restraint, opening the door,
and going out. She informed the nurse, “I am Noah’s family.”
“Oh, good. Please go and settle the fees. Noah is not in immediate danger, but the
treatment and medication for the severe burns will be expensive, so it’s best if your
prepare the money ahead of time to avoid any delays in his treatment.”
Sherry accepted the bill and politely nodded.
Malcolm also left, saying, “If you need money, you can come to me.”
“No need, sneered Sherry. “My current man is much wealthier than you.”
