Chapter 64 Pregnancy
Chapter 64
Upon hearing Sophia’s testimony, Violet and Malcolm found themselves unable to
defend their actions.
“So, you impregnated someone and can’t even admit it? And it’s your wife’s own sister.
No wonder the sister of the pregnant woman didn’t come,” the doctor said. “But a
human life is at stake, and both of you want to save the child, right? Or should we
persuade the pregnant woman’s sister to come?”
“No,” Malcolm refused directly. “Her sister is not in good health and cannot donate
blood.”
Sophia never expected Sherry to donate blood for her. She pleaded with the doctor, “My”
sister won’t come, but my father is in your hospital! Can you let my father donate
blood?”
The doctor nodded. “You should have said that earlier. At this time, it’s more reliable to
rely on your own parents. Is your father a member of the medical staff at the hospital? What’s his name? I’ll immediately have someone contact him.”

Sophia shook her head. “No, my father lives in the cardiac ward upstairs. He can’t move
right now. You can go up and draw blood directly!”
“What?” Several doctors couldn’t believe what they heard.
What kind of family is this?
The cardiac ward was usually for patients with coronary heart disease and
hypertension, and her father couldn’t even move. How serious must his condition be?
And she wanted us to go up and draw blood directly? Was this something a daughter
should say?
The doctor questioned, “Is he your biological father?”
“Yes, I’m his only daughter. Even if he doesn’t want to live, he will definitely save me!
Doctors, don’t waste any more time. Hurry up and go draw my father’s blood. I’m still
young; I have many years to live, but he’s in his fifties. It’s more worthwhile to save my
life!
“Every life is important. There’s no such thing as worthiness when it comes to human

life. Everyone is equal. If saving you harms another person’s right to survival, what do
you think our hospital is?”
The doctor was helpless and shocked by Sophia’s words. Their opinion of this family
plummeted, and they looked at Sophia with a hint of disgust in their eyes.
But they still had to save lives. They couldn’t just watch a life slip away because of her
character.
“Quickly call someone to come and donate blood! I’m also contacting other hospitals to
urgently transfer some O-type blood, but it may take some time. It might not arrive in
time. It’s still fastest to have the family members come!”
Violet felt a bit embarrassed as people around her pointed and whispered. She quietly
said to Malcolm, “Son, does Sophia have any other relatives? If Sherry doesn’t want to
come, her uncle seems genuinely concerned about Sophia. He should be willing to donate blood, right?”
Malcolm helplessly chuckled, “Mom, you forgot that you just asked me to call the police
and have him arrested. By now, he’s probably already been taken away by the police.”

“I should have called later. We could have waited for him to donate blood before calling
the police.”
While the two were still hesitating, Sherry had already walked in briskly.
Malcolm quickly went up to greet her. “Sherry, why are you here?”
Sherry walked straight past him as if she hadn’t seen him and asked the nurse next to
her, “Where is the blood donation room?”
The nurse pointed in a direction and said, “It’s over there, just around the corner.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Just as Sherry took a few steps forward, Malcolm grabbed her. “Are you going to
donate blood for Sophia? Sherry, don’t donate. I remember your health isn’t very good,
and it’s not worth it to donate for her.”
Sherry became furious and laughed sarcastically. “Malcolm, the child in Sophia’s belly belongs to you. When you cheated on me with her, did you ever consider if she was

worth it or not?”
“Haven’t I explained it to you? Sophia seduced me, and I was momentarily confused.”
“She seduced you once, and she got pregnant?” Sherry clearly didn’t believe it and
sarcastically retorted, “Mr. Ford, you must be quite impressive.”

Malcolm frowned and stopped her. “Then let me be direct. I won’t mind who you’ve
been with during this time. If you don’t want her to bear my child, as long as her child is
gone, there won’t be any barriers between us. We still need to work hard to have our
own child. If you donate blood and weaken your body, it won’t be conducive to getting
pregnant.”
Sherry shook her head and laughed. “Mr. Ford, you’re indeed very straightforward.”
“Whether you call me heartless or fickle, my heart wants to be with you. Besides, you also hate Sophia, right? Why not take this opportunity to get back at her and vent your
anger?”
“You’re beyond redemption,” Sherry pushed him away. “I didn’t donate blood for her, but
for my uncle. She’s his only daughter. Even though he claims to have severed ties with
her, it cannot really be severed. If something were to happen to Sophia, my uncle would
be devastated for the rest of his life. I hate her, but I won’t stoop so low as to take
advantage of her misfortune.”
“Sherry, please listen to me.”
“I don’t want to listen. I’m going to donate blood. If Sophia survives, you can explain to
her
you said in front of the ward just now.”
The blood donation room was nearby. She walked in and underwent a simple
examination, as instructed by the doctor. The needle was already inserted into her vein.
Crimson blood flowed continuously from her body through the transparent tube. Sherry
turned her head away and refused to look.
“Wait a minute…” a young nurse hurriedly ran over. “Quickly remove the needle; she
can’t donate blood!”
The doctor who was drawing blood asked, “What’s wrong? Didn’t we weigh her? She

may be a bit thin, but still within the acceptable range, right?”

The nurse held a test report in her hand and pointed to one of the data points, showing
it to him: “The test results just came out; she’s pregnant!”
What?
Sherry stood frozen in place, her whole body in shock. She was pregnant?
“Oh my goodness, she really is pregnant. Quickly, quickly remove the needle and stop
the bleeding! Girl, you really are something. How could you come to donate blood when
you’re pregnant?”
Sherry looked dazed. “Is that my test report? Am I really pregnant?”
The nurse responded with irritation, “You’re the only person in the blood donation room,
so if it’s not yours, whose could it be? You seem really confused; don’t you know that
you’re pregnant?”
Sherry looked at the data on the test report, finding it difficult to believe.
Hadn’t she already taken contraceptive pills?
How could she still be pregnant?
“Um… may I ask, how long have I been pregnant?”
“You’ll need to go to the obstetrics department for an examination to find out. Please
make an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible.”
Sherry walked out of the blood donation room in a daze, holding onto the test report,
still trying to comprehend everything that had happened.
“Sherry!” Mr. Sniper embraced her tightly, his face glistening with sweat. It was clear
that he had hurried over, but he appeared extremely joyful. He inquired, “Is it true? Are
you actually pregnant?”
