Upon arriving at the Hilton Hotel, Sherry went upstairs while Maverick parked the car.
As Sherry entered the hotel entrance, Maverick’s phone rang.
“Tell your younger brother to stay away from Sherry.”

meal.

all day and traveled a long way to help her out, so he must be tired.
“Sherry?” Mr. Sniper pushed the door open and entered.
“Oh, I’m in the kitchen,” Sherry responded, “Do you… want to take a shower first?”
Mr. Sniper didn’t say anything. He walked straight into the kitchen and hugged her from
behind.

“Sherry, let me find you a new job.”
Sherry understood his underlying meaning, and she felt a bit guilty too, “I don’t know
what’s wrong with Mateo… If it makes you uncomfortable, then I’ll change jobs.”
Mr. Sniper took a deep breath and kissed her on the back of her neck, “Sherry, do you

know, I want you to live freely, but I can’t stand other men developing feelings for you. I
evén get jealous if they just look at you.”
Sherry felt a sweet sensation in her heart. She turned around in his arms and faced him,
“You know, I’m carrying your child. What else do you have to worry about?”
“I’m truly worried,” Mr. Sniper held her tightly, “The longer I’m with you, the more afraid I
am of losing you. Sherry, you shine too brightly, and I am too weak. I can only hide
behind a mask to express these feelings to you. If one day I take off the mask, I’m afraid
I will lose the courage to face you.”
Sherry didn’t take it seriously and chuckled, “You haven’t done anything to hurt me, so
why are you afraid to face me?”
Mr. Sniper remained silent for a long time, but ultimately didn’t say anything.
He had too many secrets hidden in his heart, like a Pandora’s box. He could package
the box beautifully on the outside, but once it was opened, the filth and chaos inside
would be revealed.
“Mr. Sniper?”
“Yes.”
“What kind of job are you planning to help me find? I don’t have a degree or any other
skills…”
“Sherry, do you want to continue studying?”
Sherry was taken aback. “SAT test? My uncle mentioned it to me, but I’m pregnant now.
And my uncle’s medical expenses… I’d better not.”
“Don’t worry about anything else. Just answer me, do you want to or not?”
Sherry gritted her teeth and nodded firmly. “I want to.”
She had regretted giving up her admission to Pimlico University in the past, but too
many obstacles stood in her way. She thought that the dream of attending Pimlico
University had become an extravagant hope.
“Well,” Mr. Sniper said tenderly, “from now on, you should focus on revision. Once the

“No, once we have the baby, I’ll work from home, picking you up from school and taking

Sherry hugged him back and nodded. “I’ll try to avoid Mateo as much as possible.”
Mr. Sniper snorted coldly. “Just treat him as if he’s invisible.”
“Alright.”
The next morning, Sherry woke up early as usual and arrived at the car exhibition two
hours ahead of time.
Samuel was also there, just as early as her.
After learning from the previous lesson, Samuel was extremely cautious this time. He

extra backup models in case of any last-minute emergencies, so they could be

When Sherry arrived, Samuel was still frowning and worrying.

still worried?”
