Chapter 22
Perla helped Salma pull the zipper with all her strength.
Salma kept inhaling, but no matter what, the zipper could not be pulled up in the end.
Perla sighed, saying helplessly, “Salma, it really will not go up.”
“How is that possible? My waist is so thin.” Salma could not accept this blow.
She could not even imagine how humiliating it would be if she could not fit into the dress and had to endure Kylie’s mockery. She could not afford to lose face like that.
“It really will not work, and pulling harder might break it.”
“If it breaks, so be it. Use more force,” Salma said.
“If it really breaks, we will fall into Kylie’s pit. Kylie will have to make you compensate.”
“I can’t wear it now, and Kylie still wants me to pay for it,” Salma whispered through gritted teeth.
“Your waist is so thin, and you can’t even wear it. Kylie definitely can’t wear it either. If both of you can’t wear it, she has no right to laugh at you, let alone demand that you pay for her,” Perla said maliciously.
Salma was stunned and quickly realized something. “Help me take it off quickly.”
“Okay.”
The two of them made up their minds and walked out of the fitting room. Kylie sat on the nearby VIP sofa, enjoying snacks with Jos.
She glanced over. A hint of sarcasm appeared at the corner of her mouth.
Suppressing her anger, Salma provocatively said, “Kylie, I really can’t put it on. But just because I can’t wear it doesn’t mean you can. If you can wear it, I’ll buy this dress for you.”
Kylie calmly enjoyed her snack, picked up her coffee, and took a big sip. Salma’s face darkened.
Just now, no matter how hard she tried to inhale, she could not fit into the dress. How could Kylie eat so much now?
Kylie wiped her mouth, asked Joseph to wait outside, and walked into the fitting room.
Meanwhile…
Sergio hurriedly entered the store.
“Sergio.” Perla quickly went up to him.
Salma was surprised, “Why are you here?”
“I sent the message to Sergio.” Perla quickly explained, “With the unpleasantness between you and Kylie, and Kylie being so strong–willed, I was afraid you might suffer. So I asked Sergio to come.”
Although Salma did not regard Kylie highly, she had no reason to refuse Perla’s care.
In fact…
Perla was not worried about Salma. She just wanted Sergio to see the conflict between Kylie and Salma, hoping he would have no lingering feelings for Kylie.
Just then…
The curtain of the fitting room opened.
All eyes were irresistibly drawn to the scene.
At a glance, everyone was shocked.
Kylie had completely put on the white, diamond–studded, long–tail gown. The gown fit her perfectly, neither too tight nor too loose. It showcased her well–proportioned figure, making it impossible for others to look
away.
This could not be real.
Salma could not believe her eyes or that Kylie could wear something so beautiful and with such ease.
Perla could not believe that Kylie could wear it either.
Usually, Kylie wore professional suits that were stylish and capable but did not reveal her figure. She had completely underestimated Kylie’s shape, which turned out to be devilishly perfect.
Sergio was also drawn by Kylie. He had never slept with Kylie, so he was unaware that any man would find it hard to resist such temptation.
Perla reached out to hold Sergio’s arm.
Sergio snapped back to reality, trying hard to shift his gaze away.
“Mommy, you look so beautiful.” Joseph spoke the thoughts of everyone…
Even though no one wanted to admit it.
“Thank you.” Kylie smiled gently at Joseph and looked at Salma. “Pay for
it.”
Salma was trembling with anger.
Kylie actually put it on. She could fit in it.
“Ready to back out? How about refusing to pay?” Kylie taunted.
Salma gritted her teeth.
She just made a bet in front of so many people. Now if she backed out, she
could not afford to lose face.
“How much?” Salma gnashed her teeth.
“Miss Moore, this gown is a handcrafted private custom, valued at 1,776,000 dollars,” the salesgirl replied.
“What?” Salma thought she misheard.
Ordinary high–end dresses cost only about 100 thousand dollars.
This gown was worth more than 1.7 million dollars.
“This is a custom–made high–end design, with over 500 diamonds on the gown, all hand–sewn by our top masters,” the salesgirl explained and showed an official price tag, “This is the official price tag of the gown. Please review it, Miss Moore.”
Salma’s face turned ashen.
Making her spend more than 1.7 million dollars on a disposable gown, Salma could not bear it, let alone give it to Kylie for free.
“How would you get the money to buy such an expensive gown?” Salma questioned Kylie.
Kylie had considered that this dress was valuable, but she did not expect it to be worth more than 1.7 million dollars.
“That’s my business. You just need to keep your promise. Pay the money, and I’ll take it with me,” Kylie said indifferently.
Salma was shaking with anger.
And her card probably did not have that much money.
In recent years, although she earned a lot in the entertainment industry and her family provided her with money, she never had the habit of saving money. At the moment, there might be no more than 200 thousand dollars in her account.
Chapter 22
And for the things that Kylie could afford, Salma refused to admit that she could not afford them.
“Swipe my card,” Sergio suddenly spoke.
Salma had not reacted yet.
Perla, at that moment, was visibly excited. “Sergio, it’s not a small amount. That’s more than 1.7 million dollars…”
“Consider it as a breakup fee for Kylie. I just hope you will not trouble my sister and Perla in the future,” Sergio said grandiosely.
Kylie laughed and sarcastically said to Sergio, “This gown was given to me by Salma as part of our bet. But if you insist on giving me a breakup fee, then settle the bill for the high–end tailcoat on Jos as well.”
“Have you no shame!” Salma cursed.
“I’m learning from all of you,” Kylie retorted.
“You!” Salma was speechless, unable to find words to refute.
Sergio’s and Perla’s faces were also unsightly.
“Jos, let’s go and change out of these clothes.” Kylie ignored them and spoke tenderly to Joseph.
“Okay.” Joseph nodded obediently.
When the two of them came out after changing, Sergio had already paid for the gown.
In any case, the fame of the Moore family could not be truly lost.
“Thanks.” Kylie carried the expensive custom gown and deliberately added, “Especially you, Miss Moore.”
Salma was trembling with anger.
She really wished she could slap Kylie.
Not only did she not pick the desired gown, but she was also mocked for her figure. And on top of that, she lost more than 1.7 million dollars for nothing.
This was an absolute humiliation, and she would definitely not let it go.
