The luxurious banquet hall was packed with people.
Nearly all the top–tier figures of Beliey’s high society were present.
Perla, excited, followed Cohen along with Mila and Samuel into the banquet hall.
For the Hayden Group’s banquet, not only could regular companies not enter, but even the descendants of conglomerates could not attend unless their parents esteemed them. Being able to attend the banquet was a symbol of status and honor!
“Perla!” Salma called her from afar.
“Dad, I’m going to my friends,” Perla said.
“Go ahead,” Cohen advised, “Be careful. Today’s banquet is different. Don’t forget the decorum.”
“You can trust Perla. She’s been sensible since she was young,” Mila proudly stated.
Cohen also nodded in satisfaction.
Perla happily walked toward Salma.
Sergio was standing beside Salma, surrounded by other young gentlemen from the upper class.
“Sergio, Perla greeted proactively.
Sergio smiled at Perla but refrained from being too intimate with her.
As the breakup with Kylie had not been made public, Sergio could not display too much closeness with
Perla.
The two could only maintain a distance.
“Sergio, I heard you met the young Mr. Hayden,” a young man suddenly said.
“Yes,” Sergio replied.
“You’ve got some reputation,” the young man sighed. “Last time I tried to visit Mr. Hayden, I was directly turned away.
“Me too, another young man agreed. “I don’t even know what Mr. Hayden looks like.”
“How can we compare ourselves to Sergio?” another young man remarked. “Sergio single–handedly revived the Moore family, and in Beliey, he’s a prominent figure. Unlike us, if something really happens at home, we’d just be part of it.”
Everyone burst into laughter.

Though a joke, it was also praising Sergio to the extreme.
“When we meet Mr. Hayden later, Sergio, you must introduce us. My dad insists I establish a relationship with Mr. Hayden, saying we’re all young, and I should learn from him.”

Salma was even more excited. She asked, “Perla, didn’t you say she would not come?”
There was a hint of complaint in her tone.
At this moment, everyone in the room was fixated on Kylie, who seemingly sole everyone’s spotlight.
“I…” Perla was speechless. “But my dad really did not bring her, and Galaxy Group could never receive an invitation from Hayden Group.”
“Could she have sneaked in?” Salma suggested.
Perla shivered, feeling it was quite possible.
Before they could react, they saw Sergio walking directly toward Kylie.

“How did you get here! Sergio asked her in a hushed tone.
“This is a Hayden Group’s banquet, not the Moore Group’s. You have no right to question me,” Kylie retorted sarcastically
“The Stafford family did not bring you, and Galaxy Group could not have received an invitation from Hayden Group. How did you get in?”
“So what are you suspecting?
“Kylie, sneaking into a banquet like this is very embarrassing if you get caught, Sergio said firmly.
Kylie’s face eventually turned unpleasant after she heard Sergio’s words. The impact of his statement weighed heavily on her.
“Forget it.” Sergio suddenly compromised, still wearing a kind expression. His attempt at reconciliation was evident in his words. “Stay by my side. If anyone asks, I’ll say I brought you in. After all, in the eyes of others, we’re still in a relationship.”
Saying that, Sergio reached out to hold Kylie’s hand.
However, Kylie skillfully dodged his gesture.
Sergio’s expression changed abruptly, his initial kindness replaced with frustration and a touch of desperation. He said, “Kylie, you don’t know what’s good for you. I’m helping you now.”
“I don’t need your kindness,” Kylie rejected coldly, her voice laced with determination. She firmly believed that it was best for them to part ways. “Let’s each go our separate ways.
With those words, Kylie walked away from Sergio.
Sergio stared fiercely at Kylie, watching that dazzling, figure–hugging dress on her perfect silhouette. She looked stunningly beautiful.
“I can’t take it,” Salma observed, her eyes fixed on the interaction between–Sergio and Kylie. The sight of her brother’s lingering care for Kylie stirred mixed emotions within her. “My brother still cares about Kylie.”
Perla naturally felt worse.
They had clearly broken up, yet Sergio still couldn’t let go of Kylie.
She could not let Kylie snatch Sergio back.

When Salma listened to Perla’s words, her face revealed a sinister smile.
The two walked together toward the banquet hall entrance.
Kylie stood in a corner of the banquet hall, holding a glass of champagne, sipping lightly.
Her indifferent gaze surveyed the high–end event.
The attendees were indeed high–ranking officials. She had only seen some of them in financial reports.
Of course, she had also interacted with some, having shamelessly entertained many to secure sponsorships for the struggling Moore Group.
