Chapter 38
“Galaxy Group used to be under my father’s management. I took over not long ago,” Kylie said, getting straight to the point. “To be frank, the previous Galaxy Group Apparel was indeed ordinary, but not anymore. These are the designs for our next quarter. Ms. Yvette, please take a look.”
Zola glanced at Kylie. She didn’t know much about this woman, but she had heard some rumors. Kylie’s previous scandal had been quite prominent. In Zola’s mind, Kylie seemed like the type who relied on men. After all, she had reappeared in the public eye tied to Sergio.
However, these few sentences made Zola reassess Kylie. She was smooth in handling things. straightforward, and neither arrogant nor servile. ‘Rumors might not always be trustworthy, Zola thought.
Taking the tablet Kylie handed over, Zola looked at the design drawings. Her eyes lit up.
After promising to discuss the endorsement over dinner, Zola searched Galaxy Group Apparel in the lounge. She couldn’t appreciate it at all, but she was aware that she wouldn’t be able to refuse this endorsement. She knew Ethan would force her to accept it. However, the current designs completely overturned her impression of Galaxy Group Apparel.
Kylie’s statement just now seemed to be justified. Galaxy Group Apparel was indeed different from before.
“Looks good.” Zola nodded in approval.
“Ms. Yvette, if you accept endorsing our Galaxy Group clothing and are willing to be our spokesperson, let’s talk about the endorsement fee.” Kylie took advantage of the momentum.
“How much are you offering?” Zola asked.
“As far as I know, Ms. Yvette, your commercial endorsements usually range around four million dollars.” Kylie looked at Zola. “Galaxy Group is willing to offer that price.”
“I’ll give you a discount, Zola said straightforwardly.
Kylie was surprised.
“If I don’t do this, I might have trouble.” Zola joked.
Kylie was even more stunned.
“Half off. After all, my current baseline is over two million dollars, and my agency won’t allow anything lower. So two million dollars for me to be the spokesperson for Galaxy Group Apparel.” Zola added. “Exclusive spokesperson.”
It meant Zola wouldn’t accept endorsements from other brands.
Kylie was somewhat flabbergasted. Zola had clearly given her the biggest discount, surpassing all her expectations.

Her main concern was that Zola might outright refuse. After all, at the Hayden Group banquet the previous night. Zola was present and likely witnessed her involvement with Ethan. Due to this connection. their cooperation might be jeopardized.
“You can take the contract to my agent, Delilah, tomorrow. I’ll inform her in advance,” Zola said.
“Thank you. Ms. Yvette. Looking forward to a pleasant collaboration. Kylie extended her hand.
Zola shook it and said in a familiar manner, “We’re on friendly terms from now on. Just call me Zola.”
“Zola.” Kylie called. “You can call me Kylie.”
Zola nodded and asked, “Do you drink?”
“Of course,” Kylie said.
“How’s your alcohol tolerance? Zola asked.
“Not bad,” Kylie replied.
“It’s a rare encounter. Let’s drink to our hearts‘ content tonight, Zola suggested.
“Don’t you have filming tomorrow?” Quintina reminded.
“No scenes in the morning, only in the afternoon.” Zola said, a bit displeased, “I called you out tonight just to drink.
Quintina knew Zola’s personality too well. If she didn’t get drunk that night, she probably wouldn’t go home.
The three women started drinking. At first, Kylie was a bit reserved because she was not familiar with the two women, but after a few drinks, Zola’s carefree personality, so different from her on–screen image, quickly made them get along.
Female friendships were easily built. A night of drinking was enough.
By the time the three finished drinking and left, it was already past 11.
I’ll take you home,” Kylie suggested. She felt a bit dizzy, but considering that it was her gathering, she felt obligated to give them a ride home.
Zola burped and, a bit blurry–eyed, said, “No need. Quintina can take me. It’s on the way.”
With that, Zola pulled Quintina along and left the private room. Kylie quickly followed.
All three were a bit tipsy, but not to the point of losing control. Especially Quintina, she was surprisingly sober.
While Kylie usually had good self–control, this day, considering it was the first time she drank with Zola, Kylie went along to keep her company. Zola had an affinity for alcohol. Once she started drinking, she just

couldn’t stop. However, Quintina managed to maintain her composure even amid Zola’s exuberance.
Zola and Quintina got into a black car. After Kylie saw them off, she returned to John’s car. Leaning on the back seat, she felt a bit uncomfortable in her stomach.
She gazed indifferently at the night scene of Beliey outside the window, the neon lights shining in the sky.
Suddenly, her message alert sounded. Kylie took out her phone and glanced at it. It read, [Remember to drink some honey water when you get home.]
Kylie didn’t reply and silently put down her phone. Ever since Ethan left, he sent her two to three messages almost every day. But she chose to turn a blind eye to all of them.
The car arrived at Hayden’s residence. Zola was dozing off in the back seat.
One moment, she was on the phone with Ethan, boasting about how she had managed to get Kylie drunk. The next moment, she was sleeping like a log.
Quintina admired Zola’s ability to fall asleep instantly after drinking the most. She would wake up and energetic afterward, making Quintina marvel at how Zola was naturally suited for drinking.
lively
Quintina got out of the car and planned to help Zola and take her to her room. Suddenly, a car stopped at the gate.
Quintina looked over and saw Leopold walking down from the driver’s seat.
Leopold saw them as well and approached. “What’s going on?” he asked.
“Zola got drunk,” Quintina said.
Leopold frowned slightly.
“If it’s convenient, could you carry her inside? I really can’t move her,” Quintina said helplessly.
“Alright.” Leopold nodded.
He walked toward the car, bent down, and lifted the soundly sleeping Zola.
Quintina had intended to help, thinking that Leopold looked gentle and fragile. Unexpectedly, he lifted Zola effortlessly.
“Ms. Xaviera, take care on your way back,” Leopold said gently.
“Sure.” Quintina nodded.
Leopold carried Zola away.
Quintina watched their figures, suddenly recalling a past event.
She and Zola were high school classmates. One night in their second year of high school, Zola called her at

midnight to say that she had fallen in love. Adolescent love was the purest and least concealed, and Quintina could feel the immense happiness in Zola’s voice at that time.
However, after that night, Zola never mentioned her feelings again. Now, counting from that time, eight years had passed. And Quintina clearly remembered Zola had mentioned the name of that boy–Leopold.
