Nadia stared blankly at her son. Never before had she been scolded like this by Cohen. Normally, she was the one who dictated everything. Ethan glanced at the dining table, where several home–cooked dishes were already arranged. There were steamed fish, grilled ribs, scrambled eggs, mashed potato and gravy, as well as a pot of borscht. It seemed like something was still cooking in another pot. Kylie had gone to the kitchen, appearing a bit flustered.
“Do you need help…” Ethan walked over.
“Ah!” Kylie screamed because the oil in the pot suddenly splashed. Terrified, she kept stepping back. Ethan couldn’t help but laugh. Kylie had always been calm and quiet, rarely showing this kind of… reality!
