Chapter 165
Zoe sat on his lap timidly. His iron grey long pants made a stark contrast against her fair, smooth skin. The sight was to enough drive
a man crazy.
Her delicate nose twitched involuntarily when he leaned in. She was so shy, like a virgin. He probably would’ve thought she hadn’t had any experience in sex if he hadn’t been married to her for three years.
“Are you scared or are you not used to it?” His eyes were darker than night when he stared at her and asked in a husky voice.
“I’m not!” She rested her on his shoulder. Every time she did this, it felt as if she was reluctantly letting him have his way with her. He loved that very much. He loved taking charge when they were having sex. Not only did he love every inch of her body, but he was completely
addicted to it.
With that said, he didn’t plan on having sex with her tonight.
Tilting his head, he looked at her and touched her cheeks. They were hot! She blushed whenever he touched her!
Mason wasn’t free of his manly desires, nor was he a saint. So, he carried her onto the bed and let her hair strewn across the pillow.
He fingered her and made her have an orgasm.
Sweat covered Zoe’s fair face as she lay on the white pillow, her face. filled with the pleasure she was feeling.
Mason arched his body and kissed her. Caressing her cheeks, he said soothingly, “Sleep if you’re feeling tired. Nothing bad’s going to happen. I’ll keep an eye on everything.”
She was put into a trance. Raising her fair, delicate hands, she
touched his dashing face in a daze as tears slipped out of her eyes.
She knew what was on his mind. So, she asked him sobbingly. “Why do you keep pushing me, Mason?”
The light shone on his face and gave his defined features a hazy, gentle look.
He responded softly, “I have no idea why. It’s probably because I don’t want to let you go. I have a feeling that I won’t be able to get you back to my side if you’re gone.”
Zoe couldn’t stop crying. Closing his hands over hers, he grasped her fingers. Then, he leaned in and whispered in her ears, “You’re such a crybaby! Stop crying. You’re breaking my heart.”
Morning rolled on by the time she opened her eyes. There was no one sleeping next to her. She remembered vaguely that Mason came back and slept right next to her in the middle of the night.
Not daring to go down that train of thought, she rose hastily and headed to the ward across the hallway. Gordon was still sleeping soundly and Mia was sleeping on a couch to the side. Putting al blanket on her, Zoe sat by the bed and stayed there quietly.
It was about eight o’clock by the time Mason came over with Ava in
tow. He probably went back home for a change of clothes. Dressed in a worsted suit, he picked an elegant tie to go with it. He was dressed so neatly that there were no traces of the ruthlessness he displayed last night. He certainly didn’t seem like a man who was willing to please her the way he did.
Sitting next to her, he glanced at the floor quietly. Ava put down their breakfast in the ward and left. She couldn’t resist stealing a look at Zoe, her expressions were unreadable.

Mason asked when the door closed, “Dad still hasn’t come around?”
Last night’s experience probably embarrassed her because she grunted without looking at Mason. He turned his head to the side and stared at her briefly before chuckling, “Why’s your face this red? It’s perky too. It’s the same way you were down there last night…”
She cut him off quickly. “I’ve repaid your kindness!”
He knew better than to keep going, so he clammed up. After a while, he told her that he needed to go on a business trip to Zirconia for a few days. There was an important trade exhibition taking place there, but he’d make sure her father was taken care of in the hospital.
Zoe lowered her head and thanked him.
She had no choice but to do it and that was because she was a nobody before Mason. He could arrange for the best treatment with the snap of his finger when her dad needed to go to a hospital. On the other hand, she couldn’t have done that.
Noticing her eyes turning red, he guessed what she was thinking and said softly, “There’s no need to thank me. We’re husband and wife, after all! Don’t you think it’s normal for a couple to do what we did last night?”
With that, he rose and spoke tenderly, “I’m going to leave now! Call me if you need anything.”
