Ella knew they were going to meet up and she prepared a lot of stuff for Zoe and her baby. Onesies and toys for the baby and supplements for Zoe. She stuffed all of them in her car.
She thought about what she wanted to say too, but she broke down crying the moment she saw her friend. Zoe looked so miserable and sickly! She was very scrawny. Her chin was still defined, but there was a sickly air about her.
Zoe looked nothing like a lady who had just given birth to a child. All her other friends who delivered a baby were brimming with energy and livelihood.
It was such a heartbreaking sight. She touched Zoe and asked with a trembling voice, “What is he doing to you? Why are you this thin? Did you go to the doctor?”
It had been a long time since Zoe last saw Ella. Her eyes were filled with tears as well, but she chose to speaking lightly to her friend, instead of telling the truth. “I havent had much of an appetite lately. There’s nothing to worry about here!

Zoe knew her friend couldn’t do much. She didn’t want Ella to pit herself against Mason. That would achieve nothing other than dragging her down.

Yanni, on the other hand, was fed well. She was very pretty too. Ella couldn’t stop herself from shedding tears of joy when she saw the baby. “She looks just like you, Zoe!”

Yanni burst into laughter at the sound of it, revealing her gums and making her look that much more adorable.
However, Ella started crying! Holding the baby in her arms, she tried to control herself. She hated that she couldn’t do anything to spring Zoe out of this place!
Zoe gave her friend a gentle hug. She didn’t say a thing. Instead, she merely held her in her arms.
After a long time, she said softly, “There’ll come a day when we can meet whenever we want! Look after my dessert spots, Ella. You need to expand our business and set up more franchises. This is our lifeline in the future!”
Ella gave the rattler to Yanni and said, “Okay. I’ll take care of them.”
After that, they continued to chat until the bodyguards came over to inform them the time was up. That was when Ella barked in tears,
Mason is such a monster!”
The bodyguard didn’t know how to react. “Please, Ms. Ella!”
Wiping Ella’s tears away, Zoe looked at her and smiled faintly. Mason will let me go once he grows tired of me!”
Ella’s lips trembled at what she said, but she knew she had to leave.
After that, Zoe stood in the private lounge for an entire afternoon, her eyes fixed on the yard. That was where she last saw Ella. Needless to say, she wanted to leave the manor very much, but she knew she couldn’t take Yanni with her if she left now.
