Chapter 323
Tears started filling up Mason’s eyes. Hugging Zoe from behind, he buried hic face in her neck and said with a trembling voice, “Give me one more chance, Zoe! I won’t let you down again, I swear!”
Zoe stopped in her tracks. She didn’t utter a single word.
Turning her around, he looked at her with bloodshot eyes. He went in for a kiss hurriedly, eager to show himself that she still belonged to him and that there was
still hope for them
However, she reached out and stopped him.
The track marks all over her slender arms painted a picture of her heart which was also punctured with holes from all the hurt that he put her through. There was no forgiving that.
His eyes grew darker.
Holding her slender arms, he put them in his hands. He stopped trying to convince
her and began to beg instead.
“Can you please iron the shirts you bought me last time, Zoe? I loved them so much.”
At that moment, she heard a honk from the yard. Her car was probably ready. She
said softly, “I have to go!”
If he let her go now, their ties would be cut forever and they’d be nothing more than
strangers to each other.
This was the first time he had lost control of himself. Kneeling before her, he pinned her against the wardrobe and buried his face in her emaciated belly. His voice was
husky when he begged her to stay.
Moments later, she felt a warm, wet sensation from her clothes. It felt uncomfortable when it clung to her skin. She lowered her head and was dumbfounded at what she
saw.
Mason was sobbing.

She was shocked to find that someone as heartless as Mason would shed tears.
However, what was the point of crying, now that their marriage was irreparably torni apart?
They were parked in the yard.
The morning light shone pleasantly on her face as a gentle breeze brushed past her cheeks. Ella was holding Mia by her arms, eagerly waiting by the car. They made their way here as soon as Ava called them.
The fact was, they weren’t aware of everything Zoe had gone through recently and she didn’t tell them much. From what she told them, Mason and Zoe were highly likely divorced.
That was why Mia decided to stand outside the gate. She was waiting for her stepdaughter there.
Deborah was holding Yanni while the other nanny carried suitcases. Zoe was right behind them. She wore a thick puffer jacket and it essentially covered her whole face, but Mia could still tell that she was so thin that she didn’t even look the way she remembered her to be.
The sight was enough to bring her to tears.
Dashing over, she ran her hands across Zoe’s body and cried uncontrollably, “What happened to you? Good heavens. Why are you so scrawny?!”
Ella, too, was disheartened to see her in such a state and broke down in tears.
Zoe embraced both of them in response. So many days had passed and so many things had happened. Needless to say, she missed both of them dearly too. At long.
last, they were together again.
After the brief hug, she raised her eyes, looked at the morning light over the sky,
and said, “It’s all over now!”
Mason was standing at the door. He didn’t dare go over to them. He knew he would be reluctant to let her and his baby go.

At the next moment, Ella saw him and was about to charge at him to teach him a
lesson.
However, Zoe stopped her. She glanced at him and spoke to Ella lightly, “It’s over between us! Don’t get yourself worked up for someone like him. It’s not worth it! know he never treated me well, but he did help me. That makes us even!”
He heard everything she said, but he didn’t respond. Instead, he merely locked gazes
with her beneath the morning light. After a brief moment, he watched wordlessly as she carried Yanni into the car. Then, they pulled out of the manor and drove off into
the distance.
She left him, but he didn’t try to stop her.
After all, she said she wanted to leave him. She might’ve belonged to him once, but
she had walked out of his life now…
