Chapter 336
After a long time, a strong smell of ammonia lingered in the bedroom. Mason was breathing rapidly. He turned to the side as the unsatisfied feeling coursed through ail over his body.
His lust hadn’t abated at all!
Instead, he felt hollow. He longed to hug Zoe in his arms and have his way with her fair, delicate body. He wanted to be held tightly by her so he could feel her warmth. The longing in him was so intense that his body started aching.
After the feeling subsided a little, he rolled off the bed and headed to the bathroom
for a cold shower.
Yanni had another nosebleed the next morning.
Worried about her condition, Zoe brought her to a doctor she knew. Cecil had recommended Doctor Zara to her and said that her medical skills and character were top–notch. So, Yanni had been receiving treatments with this doctor ever since they moved back to Brookesville.
After the examination, Zara said softly, “Please let her do the surgery as soon as you
can.” Then, she patted her head worryingly.
Zoe knew what the doctor was getting at. So, she asked Mia to take Yanni out of the room before she asked her about the specifics.
Smiling bitterly, Zara explained, “It’s best if Yanni can go through the surgery before she reaches six years old. That way, there would be fewer complications after the surgery. It’s not good for her to keep bleeding out like this. She might get anemia
too.”
With that said, she knew how things were between Zoe and Mason. So, she said,
You have to talk things through with Mr. Mason and tell him to put aside your
differences. Both of you have to do it for Yanni’s sake.”
Nodding, Zoe responded, “Alright. Thanks, Dr. Zara!”
Exiting the consultation room, she walked to the end of the hallway to calm herself down. She didn’t want her little girl to see her when she was down.
Then, she heard his voice from behind her, “Is that you, Zoe?”
Mason came here to check on the effects of the latest drugs on the market. Never had he imagined that he would bump into her at this hospital.
He did a double–take and confirmed that it was indeed Zoe, the lady who he had lost
sleep over.
Her eyes turned red and she felt a chill down her spine. She didn’t want him to see her in this state. What was even scarier, he might see Yanni and find out the kind of condition their little girl was in.
She said sobbingly, “Don’t come any closer, Mason!” Then, she repeated before he could say anything, “Don’t come any closer!”
He was disheartened. “Do you not want to see me? Are you crying, Zoe?”
“No…”
Little did she know he would stroll towards her, grabbed her shoulder lightly, and
turned her around.
He saw her reddened eyes, a trace of hopelessness and sorrow in them. She looked
very vulnerable.
Then, it felt as if he was stabbed right through the heart.
His heart would stir for her and no one else. He used his fingers to wipe the corner
of her eyes. Her skin was so delicate that it turned red from it.
The sight was enough to soften his heart.
Ignoring the top management staff, who had congregated around them, he said to her softly and tenderly, “You have an expansive business. I’m sure you became very
tough from those experiences. So, why are you crying like a young lady the moment.
you see me? Is it because you still love me, Zoe?”

Mason telt as if he was struck by lightning.
He might’ve fixed his gaze on Yanmi, but he was having a hard time believing what
he was seeino.
He had only seen her pictures for the past three years. In those times, he tried to
imagine what his little oul must’ve looked like in real life. However, none of his
imagination was better than what she turned out to look like.
Yanni reminded him so much of Zoe that she was practically a carbon copy of her.
With that said, the hint of arrogance on her face resembled him so much too.
Crouching, he looked at her and said in a husky voice, “Hi, Yanni. I’m your dad!”
