They chatted away into the night. It was around ten o’clock by the time they said farewell to each other. Rosemary left first while Zoe stood at the entrance of the hotel. Tugging at her scarf, she turned around and was about to get into her car when a car pulled over by
her side.
The rear seat door was opened and a hand reached out, pulling her inside. She fell into the man’s arms and smelled the familiar scent. It wasn’t hard to guess who it was. Her voice was trembling slightly when she spoke. “Mason!”
The man in question remained quiet. Holding her waist, he pulled her against them so that their flesh was pressing on each other. Then, he pressed a button and the black partition rose. It even provided them with a soundproof space in the rear seat.
All they could hear in the cramped space was their breathing. He was looking at her so intently that it was impossible to miss out the
gloominess in his eyes.
Her lips were trembling lightly. “What’s the meaning of this?”
Pinching her slender waist, he took his time rubbing it. Her woolen scarf fell off, revealing her bare shoulders. It looked soft and perky as if it was trying to seduce him!
Caressing her fair arms, he asked in a husky voice, “How about we check-into a hotel?”
Her eyes widened at what he said. She was having trouble believing what she just heard. She was gawking at him when he repeated himself, “Let’s check into a hotel.”
She decided to go along with him. After all, one of the purposes she
returned to Brookesville was to have sex with him and get pregnant. It didn’t matter where they did it. So, she was fine with checking into a
hotel.
After that, Mason didn’t make a peep. In fact, he looked a little stern.
Casting her mind back to what Rosemary said, she suspected that he had abstained from sex for too long and that it had messed with his head. So, she resorted to keeping quiet and sat next to him
wordlessly.
The fact was, they didn’t look like they were off to have a good time. Instead, it looked more like they were trying to pick a fight with each
other.
Out of nowhere, he held her hands. His grip was very firm and he’d exert more pressure on his hands if she tried to break free. It was as if he was trying to say that he wouldn’t let her go for a lifetime.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at a five-star hotel and Luke pulled
over.
Opening the car door, he pulled Zoe out of the car. However, she was wearing a pair of high heels and she was having trouble keeping up with his pace. So, he stopped and waited for her. He stared at her s profoundly that she couldn’t read what was on his mind.
The receptionist couldn’t help but steal a glance at them when they were checking in. She recognized Mason, who was the director of Lockwood Corporation, but she had no idea who the lady was. All she knew was that the lady was exceptionally beautiful and she looked like she had some deep pockets.
Was she Mason’s girlfriend? That couldn’t be right. Why would he bring his girlfriend to a hotel?

Mason swiped his credit card and took the room key. Then, he led Zoe into the elevator and stayed quiet as it rose to the floor their
room was on.
They were the only ones in the elevator. Raising his head, he said in his husky voice, “It’s not too late for you to change your mind.”
However, she remained quiet. He followed her example and looked ahead as the elevator continued to climb to the top floor. He stepped aside and let her enter the room first, the way a gentleman would do.
All of that was forgotten the moment both of them went into the room. His inhibitions and decencies were stripped off, as clothes.

They didn’t even turn on the lights. Perhaps they felt that they couldn’t let themselves go and enjoy the process if they could see each other. So, they kissed and caressed each other in the darkness.
His suit and shirt as well as her dress were all over the floor. The sight was enough to turn anyone’s face red.
Holding Zoe in his arms, he stumbled onto the bed. Then, he ran his hand across her cheeks and said in a husky voice, “Are you sure you want to do this?”
