Zoe didn’t have a choice. She had to cling to Mason tightly or she’d fall. His body felt so hot to the touch that it was almost searing. In fact, it was so hot that her heart was pounding like crazy.
Holding the back of her neck, he forced her to look at him.
Their eyes met and she could see the lust in his. Aside from that, there was a trace of struggle in them that wasn’t immediately visible.
He asked softly, “Are you all better now?” It sounded as if he was asking her, but he actually knew the answer. She looked much more seductive before giving birth to Yanni. He knew it because he could feel it by touching her.
She wept in response. “Shut up!”
Then, he pushed the back of her neck and kissed her passionately. He kissed her so intensely that it felt like he was about to eat her up. The tobacco scent about him also threatened to seep into the entirety of her body.
All of a sudden, he stopped in his tracks. He was holding her when he lowered his head and looked into her eyes. She looked like she had gotten used to drowning herself in bodily pleasures. At that moment all sorts of emotions rose in his chest.
So, he let her go and sat by the side of the bed. Picking up his long pants, he fished in its pocket for a cigarette packet. He took a cigarette out and put it between his lips, but he didn’t light it up. Instead, he spaced out.
He was never one to stop himself from smoking if he wanted to.
The truth was that Zoe guessed that he had found out about Yanni’s
condition. That explained why he’d take her to a hotel to have sex
with her.
With that said, she had no idea why he stopped so abruptly.

Her fingers were trembling when she buttoned up her dress. She tied her hair to the back and put on the pair of exquisite pearl earrings when she was done straightening up herself.
He admired her beauty, but he couldn’t resist thinking if the same pair of earrings dangled lightly as she rolled in the sheets with other men. Did they compel the men to nibble on her delicate ears as well?

They went downstairs side by side. The moment the elevator doo opened, they felt a rush of wind and saw a couple who had just checked into the hotel. They were hugging each other tightly as if there was no tomorrow.
