I Refuse to Divorce! by Light Breeze Chapter 350

Chapter 350

What he said pulled them closer ever so slightly. Despite the

resentment they had for each other, they shared a daughter. On top of it, they had to make another baby for Yanni’s sake.

Half an hour later, his Rolls-Royce pulled into Kirk Manor.

There were tears in Zoe’s eyes when she stepped out of the car. The manor still stood proudly in the night, untouched by time, but the people who lived in it were completely different now.

Leaning on her father’s chest, she said softly, “Why’s Mommy crying, Daddy?”

Yanni couldn’t have understood the harsh reality adults faced in their daily lives. So, she gawked at her mother as Zoe shed sorrowful tears.

Not long after, Zoe composed herself and went into the manor.

Mason brought all of the servants over from his previous manor. They were informed that Zoe and Yanni were coming today. All of them looked sharp and greeted her as soon as they saw her, as welcoming and respectful as ever.

Smiling faintly, Zoe said, “There’s no need to be so stringent. I’m jus here as a guest.”

The servants, especially Layla, were shocked at the revelation.

Mason was experiencing all sorts of emotions at what she said, but he went along with it and said, “What she said.”

He proceeded to show Yanni around the manor.

Zoe, on the other hand, didn’t want to be seen hanging around with

him as if they were a happy family. So, she decided she’d make Coney Island hot dogs for her little girl. It was her favorite food.

Mason was staring at her quietly from the back. The sight reminded him so much of the past. She used to do the same thing too. She’d make all sorts of snacks and dishes in the kitchen all day.

Back then, she wasn’t as capable and tough as she was now, nor did she have a career. It was much simpler. She was merely his wife and nothing else.

Mason felt something tugging at his heart. Then, it became so intense that he had to walk over and hug her from the back. He proceeded to caress her sensitive spots over her clothes.

Zoe began to space out from his touches.

The next thing she knew, he breathed on her ear. His breath was so lasciviously hot and it kept assaulting her sensitive spot, getting her more and more aroused.

“What’s on your mind now?”

He could tell she was somewhat distracted. So, he turned her around, pinned her on the kitchen countertop, and started kissing her.

She was starting to get turned on. He knew it because he was

touching her there and felt the moist sensation.

Raising his eyes, he looked at her with profound gazes. She couldn’t even-begin to comprehend what he was thinking.

The rain got heavier outside.

Lowering his head, he tried to kiss her again. However, she pushed against his shoulder and stopped him from closing his lips on hers. Her voice was husky when she said, “We’re not doing it here!”

He

Conze and panted heavily. It took him a great deal of willpower to

control himself. Moments later, he released his grip and leaned on

the wall. Taking a cigarette out of his pocket, he put it in between his lips without lighting it up.

There was a hidden, intense anger in his eyes as he stared at her.

After a brief moment, he asked softly, “Is it an issue of location? Or, is it because you don’t want to do it with me?”

Glancing to the side, she responded coldly, “You know the answer!”

“And what would that be?”

He was about to lean closer when Layla came into the kitchen and chanced upon this moment. She, too, felt awkward and cleared her throat a little before saying, “Ms. Lisa is here! She insisted on seeing Yanni and claimed that she wasn’t going to leave until she got what she wanted.”

Looking at Zoe, he realized that she was very upset about the news. Lisa’s presence brought back all of the unpleasant past and the painful memories that tormented her deeply.

Rubbing her shoulder gently, he said with a tender tone, “Check on Yanni upstairs. I’ll handle thits!”

The rain continued to pour.

Lisa was pacing back and forth impatiently around the gate. A servant was following her footsteps with an umbrella in her hands, doing her best to shield Lisa from the rain. However, it didn’t take long before both of them were drenched.

Lisa didn’t care about it in the least, though. All she wanted was to take a look at Yanni. It had been so many years since she last saw her granddaughter. She must’ve grown taller and looked more like her

son now.

Then, the black ornate gate swung open slowly, and out came Mason, with an umbrella in his hands. He was wearing a white shirt and black

trousers.
