I Refuse to Divorce! by Light Breeze Chapter 351

Chapter 351

Mason looked exceptionally stunning in the rain.

Lisa went over to him immediately and said, “Let me see Yanni, Mason. I’m her grandmother, for Heaven’s sake! It’s summer solstice and I made her some snacks.” Then, she asked the servant to get it

from her car.

However, he asked the servant to ignore her. “Stop wasting your

breath! I’ll never let you see her! Also, let me make something clear. Zoe and Yanni are my family, not yours!”

Lisa was rooted to the spot.

“Ms. Lisa!” The servant who was holding the umbrella for her couldn’t stop herself from calling out to her as she shoved her aside and charged at him.

She ignored the raindrops falling on her face, which had effectively obscured her vision, gripped his collar, and cried out in a gut-

wrenching voice, “What did you say, Mason? Will you listen to yourself? How am I not family to Yanni? Don’t you know that I love. her from the bottom of my heart?”

He merely stood there, letting her shake him repeatedly.

The rain continued to pour. He said softly, “It was also raining heavily back when Westley left us! However you forgot that you had a son as well. We could’ve had a happy life, but all you cared about was that damned jerk!”

With that, he turned and left, vanishing into the manor.

The black ornate gate closed slowly before her eyes, mirroring the fact that Mason was shutting her out of his life.

All Liss

did was gawk at it as the gate swung shut. Then, she burst

into tears.

He had never gone back to Lockwood Manor, nor had he celebrated any of the holidays with her for the past three years. He even celebrated the New Year by himself in Kirk Manor. It was as if he never even had a mother.

She might still be the mistress of Lockwood Manor, but she had lost her son through and through.

All of this could be traced back to Westley, she thought. It was completely his fault. After all, would she have had a fallout with Mason if he hadn’t abandoned them?

She roared and cursed Westley while rain poured down on her.

What she didn’t know was that the harsher she cursed him, the more it meant that she loved him, deep down. Westley would never stop haunting her for as long as she lived,

Yanni was already awake by the time Mason went back inside. Zoe was carrying her in her arms, feeding her some slices of fruit.

The little girl loved it, but she frowned a little when she heard the commotion outside. She asked in a sweet, innocent voice, “The granny outside talks so loud! Why isn’t she back at her own house?”

How was Mason supposed to tell her about the intricacies of the adult world?

He wasn’t completely unaffected by what just happened, too. Walking over to her, he patted her head gently and looked at Zoe.

She wore a blank expression on her face. Clearly, the earlier incident dampened her spirits as well.

Yanni was very happy the entire night, but both Mason and Zoe didn’t

eat much.

The rain was even heavier after dinner. So, he asked her to stay the night with Yanni. “Yanni can sleep with me and you can sleep in your old bedroom.”

She could tell her little girl wanted to spend the night here badly. So, she pondered for a short while before agreeing to it.

It had been such a long time since she stayed the night in Kirk Manor. All sorts of emotions washed over her as she rolled back and forth on the bed, trying to sleep in vain.

She checked the time and saw that it was half past five in the morning. She couldn’t take it anymore and got up. Putting on the woolen scarf, she went downstairs for some milk in the kitchen.

To her surprise, Mason was there as well. Leaning on the fridge, he seemed lost in thoughts. His eyes squinted slightly when he saw her.” What are you doing up?”

She responded, “I couldn’t sleep. I just came down here for some milk.”

Standing upright, he gave way to her She thanked him softly and opened the fridge to get some milk. Little did she know he’d suddenly hold her from behind. This time, he was caressing her sensitive spots more intensely than he had in the afternoon.

Rubbing her sensually through her clothes, he knew how she liked it and what he needed to do to pleasure her.

She moaned in response.

Fixing his stare on her face, he said in a husky voice, “How about we do it in your bedroom?”
