Chapter 362 

An awkward silence hung over them, 

Lowering her head, she looked into his eyes. Truth be told, there was no lust in them. She’d even go so far as to say he looked serious and had his good sense about him tonight. 

After a brief moment, she responded gently, “Yeah. I stand a good chance of getting pregnant today and tomorrow!” 

They did need to have another baby as soon as possible. So, there was no room for being shy here. After some thought, she added, ” Take a shower first. After that, we’ll…” 

Mason cut her off by swooping her up and walking towards the private lounge out there. She was concerned she might fall off, so she had her arms wrapped around his neck. 

She might’ve worn an indifferent expression on her face, but her mind raced back to the night they were married. He had carried her in his arms to the bedroom too. However, she looked timid back then. It was a shame he didn’t treat her gent 

gently. 

The walk couldn’t have been more than several steps, but he 

experienced all sorts of emotions in the short distance. 

Both of them were haunted by issues of their own. There was also the fact that they were doing it for Yanni’s sake. So, they didn’t exactly lose themselves in the pleasure this time. 

None of them made a peep during sex. Mason didn’t even take his shirt off for the occasion. Zoe turned her face to the side and buried herself in the pillow, doing her best to ignore the pleasures he was bringing her. 

In fact, she was wearing an expression that strongly resembled the same face she wore on the night her family faced bankruptcy. She also buried her face in the pillow and refrained from making any noises when he was thrusting into her. 

Every bit of pleasure she was feeling now was laced with guilt.

He didn’t say anything that would kill the mood, nor did he bring up Farley. He also didn’t see the point in telling her that he’d give everything up if their new baby’s bone marrow wasn’t compatible with Yanni’s body. 

The universe had got to take pity on him once and make sure Yanni stayed safe. 

All of a sudden, he hugged her tightly when he unleashed everything into her. Both of them panted rapidly and kept quiet. 

None of them said anything about what just happened. However, avoiding talking about it almost made the whole thing sexier. 

After all, people always held dear to things they didn’t talk about. 

After that, they had another round in the bathroom. By the time they were done, Zoe was so tired that she slumped onto the bed and fell asleep in less than a minute. 

Mason, on the other hand, couldn’t sleep at all. Lying down next to Yanni, he felt his little girl’s warmth and realized that he woke Sherry up. The puppy opened its eyes and stared at him briefly before dozing off again. 

His wife, daughter, and puppy were lying on the same bed with him. 

Tears filled his eyes as he laid there, deep in thought. He had lost Zoe and Yanni once and he had finally gotten them back. 

Much time had passed, but he still couldn’t fall asleep. So, he thought he might as well get up. He checked the curtains in the private lounge and the new vase the servants just put in. He even walked to the garden and checked on the winter jasmine, which had yet to blossom. 

Basically, he checked every single corner of Kirk Manor. Something felt different about it now. Zoe’s return had changed everything about the manor! 

Going back to bed, he laid down and took Zoe’s hands in his own while Yanni slept between them. 

Morning came and Mason opened his eyes. There was a warmth coming from his chest. It was Yanni. She wore cow print pajamas and cozied up to him, looking peaceful in her sleep. even drooling a little, but he didn’t mind it one bit. He was her father, after

In fact, he blanked out, watching her as he ran his hands across her head affectionately. She was such an adorable, little thing! 

After a long time, he heard some quiet noises from the fitting room. Releasing his grip on Yanni, he rolled off the bed carefully and went in there to check. 

It turned out Zoe was tidying up the fitting room. She was still 

wearing the same pajamas from last night. Her hair cascaded down her back, further accentuating her slender waist. She looked pleasant 

to the touch. 

The sight saddened him deeply. 

Walking over, he couldn’t resist hugging her from behind. Lowering his head, he sniffed her scent. 

Her body stiffened a little, but she didn’t push him away. She merely reminded him, “I’m busy, Mason.”
