I Refuse to Divorce! by Light Breeze Chapter 364

Chapter 364

It was two in the afternoon. Zoe drove herself and Yanni to Lockwood Corporation. Sherry was in the car too. Her little girl had insisted on bringing it along.

She parked the car and took both of them to the lounge. With the puppy in her arms, Yanni started running ahead of her and raced happily into the wide lounge. Eventually, Sherry crawled on the ground. too. It probably knew this was its master’s company because it scampered around with its head held high.

A lady wearing a pair of high heels appeared before them and grumbled coldly, “This is a place of work! So, why’s there a kid and a puppy running around? Where are the security guards? Why isn’t

anyone taking the puppy away?”

It just so happened that Zoe stepped into the lobby and bumped into Eira at the same moment.

Eira was dumbfounded when she saw her. Then, she turned around, stared blankly at Yanni, and asked stiffly, “Is this your kid? The one you had with Mr. Mason?”

Zoe ignored her and strolled towards Yanni.

Tears welled up in the little girl’s eyes because Eira intimidated her.” That lady over there yelled at Sherry Mom. She also said she’ll chase it out of here! You have to tell Dad to fire her!”

In her simple, naive mind, she thought a company works the same way as kindergartens and that she could expel anyone she disliked.

Crouching, Zoe wiped her tears away and said, “Your dad will teach her a lesson if she did make some mistakes, but she was right when she said that dogs aren’t allowed in the company.”

Yanni said pitiably, “But…”

Smiling slightly, she finished her daughter’s sentence, “But it’s different for Sherry! That’s because your dad loves Sherry.”

What she said put a big smile on the little girl’s face.

Now, even she didn’t want to grace Eira with a glance. Ignoring her, she carried Sherry in her arms and ran into the elevator.

Eira watched as she left and recalled her appearance. The little girl wore yellow overalls and looked as pretty as a doll. Her features were gracefully defined.

Mason probably doted on her a lot!

Now, Yanni wouldn’t miss out on any chance to blow the whistle on someone. The first thing she did when she entered her dad’s office was leap into his arms and tattle on Eira.

“There was a mean, old lady who hated Sherry. She even asked the security guard to chase it out of the building.”

Putting down his work documents, he carried his little girl to the

couch and comforted her with a tender voice. The sun shone brightly on the couch and brought out his dashing features, especially when he was dressed this sharply.

Tears filled Yanni’s eyes when she grumbled, “Mommy said you love Sherry, but I don’t buy it.”

Sometimes, Mason didn’t know how he should handle his little girl. She was way harder to please than her mom. With that said, he actually loved every second of it.

Yanni wrapped her arms around his neck and sniffled, “You always kissed me and Mom, but you never kissed Sherry. I’ll buy it if you kiss it now.”

Dear Heavens, give him strength!

She pressed, “Kiss Sherry now, Daddy.”

In the end, he rolled with it and kissed the puppy. Sherry yapped in

response.

This was the first time Zoe had seen him like this, and she couldn’t

resist chuckling a little.

Raising his eyes, he caught her chuckling and was considerably surprised by it. That was when he realized that she hadn’t been this relaxed for a long time. So, he stared at her profoundly.

Wiping the smile off her face, she turned around, only to find Ava entering his office.

Ava whispered when she brushed past Zoe, “Wait for me in the coffee shop on the ground floor. We can catch up on old times! Mr. Mason isn’t going to be free for a while.”

It had been too long since they met each other. She was right. They needed to do some catching up. So, Zoe nodded in response.

She knew Yanni wanted to spend time with him. So, she went downstairs. Everyone in Lockwood Corporation knew that Mason treasured his ex-wife. So, they didn’t dare to make her wait. They made one of the best coffees they had for her in no time.

Zoe intended to get pregnant. So, she held the cup of coffee in her hand and spaced out quietly. At that moment, someone sat across from her. She thought it was Ava, but it was someone else when she raised her eyes and looked at the figure.

Smiling faintly, she decided she’d put everything on the table. “You just don’t know when to give up, Eira. Honestly, I’m impressed that you managed to climb all the way up to where you are in just a few years. Are you going to put down your roots in the headquarters of

Lockwood Corporation?”

Eira didn’t give her a direct answer.
