Chapter 373 

Leaning over, Luke said to his master, “It’s your father, Mr. Mason. Do you want to talk to him?” 

Mason said with a blank face, “Do you mean Westley?” 

However, Luke didn’t dare respond to him. 

Lowering the car window, Mason looked to the side of the car and saw Westley. 

The man looked older, compared to how he had remembered him. If his memory served him correctly, Westley hadn’t reached forty years old when he left his wife and son. He had been in the prime of his life. 

A car window was the only thing that separated them, but they didn’t call out to each other and reconcile. 

Instead, Westley merely stared at his son in silence. 

Mason had to host the shareholder meeting today. So, he wore a custom-tailored suit that accentuated his dignified and stunning look. He was no longer the little boy Westley knew him to be. On top of it, he gave Westley a cold, distant look the way he would a stranger. 

Westley’s hands started to tremble. He wanted to call out to his son, but Mason stared at him coldly and cut him off with an equally cold voice, “You chose to leave us all those years ago. Why have you returned? Is it because you’re old and you need someone to support you now?” 

Taking a cigarette out of his front pocket, he put it between his lips. He didn’t light it up. Instead, he lowered his gaze and glared at Westley. 

After a brief moment, he took it out of his mouth and exclaimed, “If I 

recall correctly, you have another son! HIS пames Cell. Amnym 

Westley couldn’t control himself and burst out, “Cecil’s not my son!” He wanted to explain everything to Mason. Ruby wasn’t his mistress and Cecil wasn’t his son, for that matter. 

He certainly didn’t leave them for her sake. 

However, there was no way Mason would’ve believed him. He 

managed to dig out that his father looked after Ruby and her little boy for a long time. Westley even gave her a huge amount of money. It was about two billion dollars. 

Why would his father help them to this extent if she wasn’t his mistress? 

With that said, Mason didn’t say anything about it. He fixed his gaze on his own father and pressed the button that raised the car window. The dark glass obscured their visions of one another. 

The black Rolls-Royce started driving away into the distance and left Westley to stand alone at the gate. 

Mason felt miserable after meeting his father. He didn’t say a single word in the backseat. Luke was so intimidated that he didn’t even dare to breathe too loud. 

In the end, they arrived at Lockwood Corporation. Mason was supposed to get out of the car and go to his work. There were simply too many things he had to do today. A lot of procedures and projects were waiting for his approval. 

With that said, he didn’t feel like moving at the moment. Then, he made a call to Zoe. 

She answered his phone in a sleepy voice. She was probably still sleeping when he called her. “What is it, Mason?” 

“Hi, Zoe. It’s nothing. Go back to sleep.” Then, he hung up and said nothing else. The fact was, he just needed to hear her voice. 

Zoe sobered up a little after the call. He must’ve met Westley, she thought. Smiling faintly, she ran her hands across Yanni’s face. After that, she rubbed her belly. She had slept with Mason quite frequently this month. There was a good chance she could be pregnant! 

Mason’s mood didn’t exactly improve by the time he came home from work, but he said nothing about his father. 

Ever since that day, Westley no longer appeared before them. On the other hand, Mason and Zoe put most of their attention on Yanni as well as getting pregnant with another child. 

She bought a pregnancy test and was going to give it a shot today. 

Rinsing the test strip with her urine, she saw a red line slowly forming on the stick.
