Chapter 377 

Leslie turned around and left. 

Nellie was stunned by his reaction and took off after him. “Leslie!” 

She found him at the end of the hallway, smoking. Then, she approached him and realized that his eyes were completely red. Quivering with anger, she said, “Are you sad because she’s about to marry someone else? Do you have lingering feelings for her after all these years, Leslie? 

“You’ve slept with countless ladies. What makes her so special? What, did she put a spell on you for you to love her so? Or, was it because she was particularly good in bed?” 

The next thing she knew, she was slapped in the face! 

Nellie couldn’t believe what just happened. She stared at him incredulously for a brief moment before she yelled hysterically. “Did you just slap me because of her? I’m pregnant, for Heaven’s sake!” 

“That’s not my baby in your belly!” he said coldly. 

Nellie was stunned. She murmured, “Are you out of your mind? What do you think you’re saying, Leslie?” 

Lowering his gaze, he looked at the cigarette between his fingers and grinned nonchalantly, “I had a vasectomy three years ago! That’s what I meant when I say that baby’s not mine. At first, I wanted to wait until you gave birth to him, but that’s no longer important now. The baby’s not the rightful heir to the Schmidt family. Do with it whatever you want.” 

He was so callous and ruthless that Nellie was shaking all over. Tears filled her eyes when she said, “How cruel! You’re downright 

heartless, Leslie! You knew from the start that the baby wasn’t yours, but you chose to watch me make a fool of myself instead of 

exposing me right away. You’re just waiting for the day when I give birth to the baby, aren’t you?” 

Taking a drag, he responded to her with a callous indifference, “I 

actually want you to have a miscarriage! I’m sure it’ll be excruciating when it happens. I want to see you wishing that you’d rather be dead than suffer the loss of your baby!” 

With that, he brushed past her and left, leaving Nellie to freeze where she stood. 

She was so naive to have thought that she could keep him on a leash with a baby. She thought he’d finally be a lovely husband to her, but it turned out it was all an elaborate plan of revenge. He wanted to give her a taste of her own medicine for what she did to Ella. 

Now, Ella was going to get married and he couldn’t take it! 

A smile crept up on her face. She was laughing at herself as well as her husband. In fact, both of them were pitiful souls who were dumped aside by the people they loved. 

Now, Nellie was a tough character. She had no problem with abortion too. So, she did it that night itself. By the time she returned to Schmidt Manor, there was nothing in her belly and her husband hadn’t come home the whole night. 

Clearly, he was licking his wounds over Ella’s engagement. 

Farley was holding Ella in his arms and apologizing to Zoe. “I’ll take her home now! Let’s meet up again some other day, Zoe.’ 

Zoe had nothing to worry about because she knew her friend was in safe hands. Smiling lightly, she said, “I’ll leave her in your hands, 

Farley!” 

Just like that, he left in a hurry. 

She watched as they left. She felt both worried and relieved for Ella. It was such a good thing that her friend got together with Farley. 

Sitting there, she finished sipping her lemonade and thought she’d get some new clothes for her baby. However, she paused in her tracks when she passed by a men’s boutique. Pondering on it briefly, she decided to buy him a couple of shirts and matching ties. 

She knew, deep down, that she had a precarious relationship with Mason. 

They were leading lives as if they were some common couple now. Although they were supposed to derive pleasure from each other’s body for Yanni’s sake, but it was hard not to reignite the old flame once enough time had passed. 

She was betting on the flame dying out in the future. 

She would stop loving him and so would he. 

Unsure of how to deal with these feelings, she sat in her car and spaced out quietly. 

All of a sudden, someone tapped on her car window twice. Turning around, she looked out the window and found a familiar face starin at her. 

It was Westley.
