Zoe caught herself and stopped.
She was actually embarrassed that she had told him about it. Why, Mason had abandoned her as well as Yanni for a long time, but she still couldn’t let go of her hatred for him…
With that said, she didn’t want to appear bitter. So, she composed. herself and said calmly, “There’s no point in saying these things anymore! You made your choice two years ago, Mason. Don’t backtrack on it and try to keep things open between us!”
Then, she lowered her voice abruptly, “I’m with someone now!”
Mason was completely stunned by her response. Staring straight into her eyes, he was having trouble grasping what he had just heard.
Did she just say she was with someone now?
Tears filled her eyes and she asked him, “What did you expect? He looked after me and loved the kids. I think he’s the right man for me.

He fell into a trance for a long time. Then, he asked softly, “Can you tell me who it is?”
She barked, “David!”
This was completely out of his expectations. He thought Zoe would end up with Cecil after they parted ways. David was the last person he’d expect her to be with.

Taking her arms affectionately, he flashed her a warm smile, “Sure!” With that, he took her away.
They were about thirty feet away when he leaned over and asked her softly, “Are you still having trouble moving on from him?”
